RA3 says unable to launch game through client when i hook it

Simular issue with Windows 10 and Steam version. When I press hook and start game from steam cnc online does not start

Hey I am having this same issue too. The game won't load it just shows "Unable to launch Red Alert 3" I tried a lot of different things, reinstalling the game. Reinstalling C&C Online setting admin for the programs and no luck. What could be causing this.

I spent two days struggling with this. 

 

I solved the issue by running steam itself as an admin. 

 

"automatically" setting it to run as admin won't be enough. You need to right click>run as admin on the steam program, then from here launch game w. hook.

 

The hook will open the launcher but not run the game. Now click on RA3.

 

Sadly... You'll then soon discover that online play doesn't work. Always gives me a 1-2 connection error when we try to launch a game. Only single player works

 

Let me know when you guys figure out how to get online play to work. Usual fixes don't work here.

New fix has been found for this problem, you need to set the RA3.exe to run as admin (in compatibility mode) and apply the following fix https://bibber.eu/downloads/cnc-ultimate-collection-launchers/
