Same. Steam version. GenTool says the version isn't supported.

Edit: this thread gives a registry edit to make. This seems to have worked for me. Drill down to the key, then right-click it and add a new key, name it `ergc` and change the (Default) value in this key to `0000-0000-0000-0000`. The keys are:

  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Generals
  • Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour

It's a downward spiral, to the end of all times, and there is no chance that we can survive. 70 million people, every year, are brought into this Earth. What are they doing? Sucking up our resources. There's too many people! So what do we do? Just keep them around? Lets kill them! Lets get rid of them! Good! Thank you! Thanks for coming out! But you know what? We're at capacity, we're at capacity now, so sorry. No more, no more. So that's what I'll do. Why not? I mean that's my plan, that's what I wanna do. Let's just clean the world, so maybe the rest of us can sustain a little bit of life. So maybe that's what I'll do, in the future, I'll help you out. I'll help you out, and I will cleanse. Make more room. For you. I will exhibit my own brand of population control. For you. That's it...

Hello, so Generals is running after changing the registration. But Zero Hour still says, no connection to server possible. Any ideas?
