me and my brother want to play Zero Hour online, but he is experiencing connection issues. As the title says, he gets the error ""could not connect to C&C Generals Zero Hour Online" when trying to login with this C&C-online login email and password. So the error occurs in-game when pressing "login".
- He bought C&C through Steam
- He made an account on C&C online
- GenTool v8.9 is installed and appears to be working (GenTool overlay is visible when starting up the game)
- When running ''Test-NetConnection peerchat.server.cnc-online.net -port 6667'' in the Windows PowerShell it says that TCP connection failed (TcpTestSucceeded: False).
- https://forums.revor...e/#entry1082756 mentions the same issue and it is suggested that the provider blocks the port. However, we both have the same internet provider, and I can connect just fine to the server.
- We added the port 6667 as a rule to the Windows Defender Firewall, but this also did not help.
Any other suggestions how to fix this problem?
