wow those are sweet pics. I too have Earth 2150 and Moon Project. Very cool games indeed. They can be a bit overwhelming though especially when u just want to build and kick ass asap instead of having to research everything and custom design your units one by one gets a lil tedious after a while IMHO

Talk about an admin rising a dead topic. But I just bought it for $19.99. Best $20 I ever spent, and damn straight it takes alot of coordination to play it. I keep getting crushed by the easy AI.

It's a very complex game and it took me 20 minutes to find out my resolution was set wrong and the build units option was off my screen. I was wondering why I could find the build units option they were talking about.

It's all about upgrades baby...I just blew 2 hours trying to figure out HOW to play it let alone strategies. Awesome game and I reccomend you all go to the bargain bin at your local gamng store and get it.

I wonder if it's modable? *off to google*

It IS modable, but the community is very very small.

Though yes...very good game. Apollo? Think you oughta post here ;)

Yes it is moddable however the game developer isn't giving out the tools to everybody so unless got very solid mod plans and all to submit to them, no chance getting the tools and even still they may just decline.

But wouldn't the modders that have the tools give them out to others and make copies or make programs that are similar to the origanal tools.

Well, i kinda do know a bit about Earth 2160 modding, i own both german and american versions (german version came out on a DVD instead of 2 cd's, had soundtrack, much better voices, although the french ones are the best by now, AND it has a 100 something page manual colored unlike the american version which also apparently requires CD1 to play the game :p)

Anyways, this game is awesome, some things in the campaign might be confusing and messed up, but since you're all C&C fans, i'm sure you're gonna get along with it. The game itself is fun to play, especially online...for more info, go to www.earth2160.com, or www.insideearth.de (www.e2160.com for english version of inside earth) And i you need to ask questions, feel free to ask me, i'm an almost hard-core Earth series fan! :)

Thanks for all the replies, too bad the developer is so stingy on the tools. They proably aren't traded as each tool is probably individually tracked and registered.

Can you tell me more about this game? First time I heard something called Earth 2160... If it's a RTS, then I might get it....

It's a sci fi based RTS that is upgrade dependant. You upgrade your tech and build custom units based on your preferences. The graphics are really good.

Very cool. I can see it's graphical quality on the screenies. :p
To what extent is it moddable? Is it easy to code? I'm willing to start another coding hobby on another game. :p

Forget modding it, the SDK is like the Golden Fleece, good luck finding it. It's the kinda game you play and enjoy... I've searched and given up on modding it.

The alien side has got to be the coolest side in the whole game. Their air forces are just unbelievably powerful, and they just play so different from anything I've ever played before RTS-wise.

I do like ED too

Out of curiousity, can I ask where you bought it Hostile? For some reason most prices I see here are (converted) around 40-50 dollars.. 30 dollars at Amazon for a used version. If this game is more than a year old, why is it in the exact same price range as EaW..

I've seen it down at GAME for a tenner (US$20)...strange it would cost so much.

I felt the same way. I don't know GAME unfortunately, perhaps we do not have it here. I checked bol.com, mediamarkt (I don't know if they have that in the UK), Amazon.co.uk (even though I can't easily pay there). Couldn't find it at Dixons (don't know if they have that in other countries). I'll just play the demo first though . Was just curious :p.
