Do you like to play games?
If you do, why, and what is/are your favorite genre(s)?

Yer, i love YR, iv had it for like 4 or 5 years now and its still my favourite game.
Im learning to mod YR but i dought id make a mod, it would probally suck.

I like, RTS, FPS and then the rest.

Do you like to play games?
Yes. I get alot of thrills out of playing most modern games etc. all the way back to older Spectrum games


If you do, why, and what is/are your favorite genre(s)?

Cause it gives me a way to escape from the reality of modern day life . Although alot of people would dispute this, i feel adventure games help with solving skills as FPS help with hand eye co-odination. BUT people skills go down as a result.


Fav genre(s). Hmmm, mine would have to be:

FPS (I.e. Half-Life, Blood, Quake 1-3 etc)
RPG (KOTOR 1 & 2)
Strategy games (C&C etc )


Oh and modding games can be fun but also frustrating!

I like RTS, Arcade and adventures such as resident evil. I'm playing code veronica x at the moment. Got up to chris and now all I have to do is put the halberd in this door.

I love games. The first game I learned to play WELL is Yuri's Revenge. Though I have played fighting games occasionally. I also love AOM. Basically I love RTS games.

I'm with CJ on this one, though like Xeno I'm going for KOTOR 1 + 2 for RPG. Or Baldur's Gate:Dark Alliance 1/2 or Dark Cloud 1 + 2.

Yeah, I like to, but I don't often get much time anymore, apart from my weekly requirement of pen-and-paper d&d.

Well, it's an escape from reality, it allows you to be anyone, anything, do what normally our rules-constrained society wouldn't allow you to. It releases stress and anger, and it gets the blood racing. It makes you think and it slows you with it's mind-numbingness. It's everything and it is nothing.
My favorite genres are, in no particular order:
D&D (Deserves a category all it's own, it was the progenitor of almost every rpg out there );
RPG (Like the aforementioned d&d);
RTS (C&C mostly, a bit of Blizzard's too);
FPS (original Counterstrike still kicks ass!);
Beat-em-up (Anyone here ever played Dynasty Warriors on the PS2?);

That's pretty much it

Oh, and I also mod when I have the time.

i mod, and play computor games.

bfme, zero hour, generals, yuri's revenge, ra2, renegade, battlefront, battlefield vietnam, and sims 2, and a few others i can't think of.

I haven´t so much time for playing games ( work, family, studying,my MOD ... ) but my favourites are: Quake 1 and its mission packs, Unreal , Unreal Return to Na Pali, Aliens vs Predator 1 , 2 and its Expansion Primal Hunt, MechWarrior 3 , Duke Nukem 3D , BLOOD, Blade the Edge of Darkness, Hexen, Heretic, Hexen 2 and Heretic 2 (I didn´t ended this last ) and the HL Mods and Expansions (of course).

And I play Video Games since 1984, aghks!!!, I´m getting older!!!

That means you were 21 when you first started gaming. On Pong, no doubt

That means you must be at least 26 or so.

yes... alot.

Games are something to do. Even some of the most basic ones will fill in at least 3 hours of time, the good ones eat up a month or so. But the best thing about games is making them. modding (and actually making a stand alone game) is what sets us apart from the console gamers.
My favourite genre is FPS, cause Half-Life is in it
I also enjoy a good RTS and even the occasional RPG.

Whats even better is when RPG elements are in FPS games(system shock, neocron, deus ex) or RTS in FPS(not like natural selection >.<, more like Battlezone, especially number 2).

I play games, because it's a kind of ultimate freedom. To do stuff you never could in real life.

My favorite genres are
RTS (RTW, DoW, AoE, C&C)
FPS (DX, HL)
Erm... Hard to classify from here. I like the 3D Zelda and Metroid games, but they don't fall into specific genres.
