...That I resign from Code Red.

Yes, it is true. I have been working my ass off for some time (this has pretty much been a solo-effort on my part so far), and return after a hiatus to find that the original author has not only returned, but has also used some of my work in the new 0.96 version without even bothering to credit me. Lucky me!

Aside from the irritation at having my work used without acknowledgement, I am also afraid that the direction Code Red seems to be taking is ever-diverging from my visions for a CnC-style modern warfare mod.

As far as Code Red is concerned therefore, I no longer want to work on it anymore nor do I find myself wanting to play it either. A huge thanks to all the fans that contributed generously in their opinions and suggestions in the forums, and goodbye.

It's not a joke. :p

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Just so you know, I have no intention of taking over CR from Gilbear.

The site & forum will be kept open but will be used as an archive for CR downloads & old posts. I will update the site with info on the current version of CR tho...

It's not a joke.

Ah, but then why can't I stop laughing at every other line of that sophomoric "resignation"?

hang on , wasnt it still ment to be worked on ? like CJ said isnt fenris about ??

its a shame that ya resigned MG, i always thought your version of CR would of been a really good one, shame i couldnt play the betas at the time of there release.

so where does this leave CR ? i mean ive been following it since the first beta release, on the guild, and to be honest it would of been quite a uniqe mod under an experienced modder and a great crew.

so, MG, can't you use all your work to produce a modern warfare mod under a different name?

I'm having a chat with MG about CR this evening.. we'll decide what the future hold for CR

Yeah. D-Day is TR's main primary concern. I'm personally surprised that this announcement has come about, and a fiver says it doesn't get continued in any form...but it is indeed a shame, without a doubt. I think everyone in the community knows how awesome MG's voxelling skill is. It's on a par with MiG Eater, and that's going some. However, I'm sure MG's skill will be put to use, nevertheless :)
