[DAA]

Any plans to put the MONARC (pzh 2000 155mm standard nato) into code red for germany. It could be basically a light cruiser for Germany.

If you don't add Germany, you could just say that they are imported from Germany and used by the British.

Hmm maybe you could add it for the ALF as an exported item or maybe the ALF conducted a covert op and had obtained MONARC blue prints from Israel after they decided to build a few under license.

yea and the ALF is not exactly realistic in ships. I mean after all they dont even have frigates.

OMG!!! Someone should create some hypothetical to give them the Royal Navy's next gen aircraft carriers to beef them up! OR: Diferent sides, different strengths and weaknesses. If you're going to give each side an equivilant everything, you no longer need different sides. The ALF don't need to be given some ship they will probably never build. And I'm sure if Mig wanted some unit for some side, he's capable of finding one, or asking (such as planes & russian MBT).

technicly speaking though, I think 155mm deck guns will be more wide spread on destroyers of some NATO countries in the coming years. The UK MoD for example has asked BAe to see if they can convert their 155mm gun from the AS90 to be used on a ship. BAe even suggested a double barrelled turret design

the US have had 155mm guns on some boats for a while now I think too.

I heard that when we got the F-35 JSF in, we were getting new carriers with them...

In fairness, it does seem a bit remote that an arab league naval fleet could stand up against anything the Russians, Britain, China or the USA could throw into the mix. For me, they should have perhaps hovercraft and some means to destroy the ships and their naval yards, and not a great deal else. Anything else is just driftwood.

ALF would most likely use frogmen, suicidial skeleton vessels or just small hoverboats with anti-ship missiles.

I don't they would have any significant capability though to bombard ground based installations though.
