To register your nation, the following must be provided:

Name
Political System/Government Type
Economic System
Geographic Location (see map under Status of the World)
Starting Military*
Ideological Standing (political compass)

Also, include a short paragraph detailing your military ideology, and BAM, you're in.

*A note to all:
The starting population for every nation other than the superpowers is roughly 100 million. Your military size is determined by yourself by a percentage of your population. Please note, however, that the higher your military size, the worse equipment you be able to use. This is because the larger your military, the more you must pay for logistics support. Food, fuel, ammo, and other such items do not pay for and transport themselves. Remember: Superior numbers do not guarantee victory.

Now, with your starting pop, the highest amount of your population you can have in the military is 5%. 2% and lower is far more realistic, however, but 5% is usually the amount of either a military state or a state prepared for war.
