Greetings, good modders and fans.

I can announce that Visions decided to work on a beta, having a finished Harad faction and edited current factions. However, this beta will certainly not be for everyone. At the moment we are looking for voice actors to do some Haradrim voices, including Haradrim archers, javelineers, raiders and hasharii. If you are interested in this oppurtunity to get your hands on a future beta and be hear-able in it, send me a PM and we shall discuss matters more privately.

Requirements:

- Microphone
- Capability of acting with a slight Arabic-like accent
- A program that saves sound files as Wav. I recommend MP3 Audio Sound recorder, that allows saving to .wav

No fuel left for the pilgrims

If neccesary I think even Windows Sound Recorder (which is standard in most of Windows' OS'es) can save as wav.

Bump.

Mullers and I have developed ourselves to be able to pretty much cover each area of the mod, with some help from people like Cahik and Flameguard. However, we still BADLY need more audio.

Seeing as we are now working on men of the west like Dale and Arnor, we won't need people capable of acting an arabian accent. Of course we still need plenty of voices for Harad, but those can wait.

What we need now is:

People who are capable of speaking neutral English, no heavy American or British accents.
People who can speak in a decent British accent.
People who can speak a bit like elves do, smooth and with a silver tongue.

This is not hard to do I think.

We need people to do the voices of:

Arnor

Rogue of Chetwood; (British english)
Rivendell Sentinels; (Elven english)
Watcher of the Tower Hills (Elven english)
Halbarad (Neutral english)
Elladan (Elven english)
Elrohir (Elven english)
Gildor (Elven english)

Dale

Dale Footmen (British)
Laketown Outriders (British)
King Brand (Neutral)
Prince Bard II (Neutral)

We beg you to consider helping us in this, we know many people have recording software, and if you cannot convert to .wav you can still send em over and I'll see what I can do. When recording, speak past the microphone, not into it, and make sure the room is silent. You can do any number of units and heroes, just try to make them all sound a bit unique.

Help us out! Choose a unit you wish to do and I'll send you the script.

EDIT: Did I mention that anyone contributing his voice gets... the beta?

Go ahead, please do. A more northern accent is fine too, since Dale-men were nordic.

I'm British and have voice recording software. My voice is quite (very!) deep and harsh though, so maybe I'll wait until you need orcs :p

My accent (atleast to my own ears) is neutral. I was born in the centre of the country where accents are less dominant ;)

I think I may have some samples somewhere on my computer that I made to 'show' to my own mod team. I did some for each faction, and the comments I got for my elven ones were pretty much along the lines of ' :p '. :p I'll go try and find them now...

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

I might try some Dale voices.... I just need to find a mic ;)
and of course listen to my own voice, since inside my head, my voice is different, and I always forget my voice's sound :p

Heh, I know what you mean Lauri, takes getting used to every time.

Would really appreciate it, Zimoo. Go for it, both of you. Just tell me which units you want to do and I'll provide the script.
