Hey guys, I was wonder what y'all could share with me in terms of Universities with specific programs for game design and development. I know of the follow two:
-Full Sail in Florida (http://www.fullsail.com)
-Digipen (http://www.digipen.edu/main.html)
I was curious if anyone had any particular information on these that I might not find elsewhere, or even if they had visited one personally. My friend's brother said he was going to FullSail, and i laughed as I had never heard of it. When I saw an ad for it In PCGamer magazine though, I got interested, and would now like to learn as much as I can about each place.
I know Digipen is supposedly ridiculously hard to get into, and I'm lucky enough to know one girl (a family friend) who got accepted, but I've heard of no one else, so I'm hoping y'all will have some info for me.

My friend is graduating from full sail in about 3 months. A BS in game design. Took him 2.5 years but he loaded his schedule (45+hours a week). Dude is making his own game engines now and he is 30 yrs old. Found it like you did. I laughed at first till we talked and it's C++ focusing on game engine design. They have a huge libary of sounds and particle effects they utilize for the final exams and stuff. Just cooler than I may ever be... I can put you two tegether if you want it.

a good way to get an early start on game design is your community college, thats what im doing now. comp science>logic>problem analysis>c language> c++ language. so by the time i graduate highschool ill have an advantage in a real college.

...Trying to find 3D Art related courses/jobs
Actually, the link I posted before, http://guildhall.smu.edu/ has three different focuses. Art, Level Design, and Coding. You apply to whichever one you're interested in.

Yes, and Digipen essentially offers two different courses. One on coding, the other on graphics/animation. I know Full Sail also has full graphic design courses, so check both of those out.
