For several years since 1997, rumors have circulated about the death of Steve Irwin. However this time it is official! This is very sad, his wife doesn't even know yet as she is hiking in some mountain and will not know for days probably.

honestly, after he had his kids he should've given this whole "stuffing around with dangerous animals" thing. He had a responsibility to but oh well...

sucks for the kids and wife big time...

I feel bad, but I have this image of his last words being; "Crickey! A really dangerous animal! I'll poke it with a stick..."

He was killed by a stingray, so I don't see how he was able to talk.
He was living out his dream. Tragic yes, but not as tragic as it might be to be hit by a car or a bus.
In the mean time, I don't see this creating a major political event between Australia and the People's Republic of China, so I'm moving this (It's absolutely apolitical, maybe if he were a member of parliament it could stay).

My brother told me this this morning but i thought it was a joke. Oh well. He'll be missed by the nature conservatists and other people who loved him, but as said he died doing something that he enjoyed. I think thats a better way to move on rather than as spence said, be hit by a bus or car.

This is a very sad day indeed.

He was pretty unlucky because there have only been 3 deaths by stingray attacks in Australia since 1943.

a nice way to go, alot better than being ripped to shreds by a crocodile or other brutal animal. thats probably why he died too, got careless with the fish that "rarely kills people".

"Oh, crikey! I've been stabbed!*gurgle, gurgle, drown*"
Those had to have been his last words. Poor guy. I remember how my brother and I were predicting how he would die. We always came up with a crocodile severing his spinal cord. Apparently he got shanked right in the heart by the stinger on the stingray...

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation

I'm sad about someone dying and all, but people die every day, and we still tell jokes about people dieing, so although these pic's and lines may be bad taste, they are hilarious!

If you want to live by the sword you die by the sword.
He lived playing around with deadly animals, and now he died by playing around with one.
Too bad, I actually liked the fella, had his own touch to that program. A character to not be forgotten, rest in peace ye aussie.
