Speech by Pierre-Henri Teitgen, Former Head of State in exile, broadcasted live over open airwaves, 10 September 06

Good evening. I am speaking to you tonight from the country of Aesania, whose efforts to preserve the sovereignty of our nation shall not be forgotten. Tonight, I am seeking to address the current plague that has infected our country. The leaders of the illegal fascist movement, who have hidden in the dark for so long, have launched a coup and overthrown the legitimate government of the people. They have, alleging war crimes perpetrated by a government which has never taken part in such activities, toppled the free, democratic system in place, and have set up an autocratic and oppressive regime intent on crushing all forms of peaceful dissent.
I speak to you at the twilight hour of our nation. Freedom in our country has been crushed. The leaders of our country, both civil and military, have been arrested, interned, or executed.
But has the last word been said? Must hope disappear? Is defeat final? Never!
I speak to you tonight with the full knowledge of the brutality of the regime which confronts all freedom-loving citizens of our country. Despite the adversity which we now face, we will prevail against the enemies of the free world. Our people do not stand alone, we are accompanied in our struggle by our allies, the brave nations of ISAF and the Clandonian forces in exile. We face the greatest adversaries in our history, and now, we must band together, united in our struggle against the fascist threat.
The destiny of our nation is here. I, Marshal Teitgen, currently in Patal, invite the officers and Atlantian soldiers who are currently in foreign territory or who would come there, with their weapons or without, and all patriotic Atlantian citizens who would make their way abroad, to put themselves in contact with me.
Whatever happens, the eternal flame of Atlantian resistance must not be extinguished and never will be extinguished.

After releasing a heavily modified and villified message the next day, the regime released a multitude of statements deploring the "vicious criminal acts of an escaped war criminal", while praising the state and its authority over all civil matters. Despite their attempts, the news had gotten out. Owing partially to full open broadcast over all non-governmental airwaves and open channels, and continuing on a repeating loop until it could be blocked, the message was heard within the nation as well as all around the world. The effect was clear, by the next day, already six hundred had defected, mostly citizens abroad. Earlier this morning, naval communist terrorists under the guise of the "Fascist Atlantian Forces" blatantly raided and sunk three civilian cruise ships, before turning their anger against our valiant and helpless naval forces
Civilians aboard the ships recalled, on three seperate occasions, unprovoked attacks by bloodthirsty, murderous pirates who raped, pillaged, and slaughtered. After their brutal suppression of innocent civilians, it is believed that the evil leftists reorganized before attacking Marine Républicaine units on a peacekeeping mission, sinking the cruiser Sines and lightly damaging its supporting vessels in a treasonous and blatantly idiotic suicide attack using motorboats. All of the enemy vessels were destroyed.
In response to this unprovoked act of terrorism, known collaborators, among them 300 known Bolsheviks and war criminals, were summarily executed. Additionally, today marked the conviction of the vicious war criminal "Ms." Parmentier, who was revealed to be a communist sympathizer and serial killer, and the conviction of Seaman First Class, former Grand Admiral, Francois Pietri on seventy-two counts of war crimes, and thirty six counts of crimes against humanity, as well as aiding and abetting terrorism and eighty-three counts of wrongful death.

Earlier this morning, in accordance with the finest traditions of the Atlantian Navy, loyalist ships under the command of Vice Admiral Tillon closed with and destroyed the enemy battlegroup off of the DAR-Belkan border lands. This victory clearly marks a turning point in our struggle against fascism.
Minor FAF losses have been reported, while the fascist Navy is reported to have lost their sole remaining carrier and all of her escorts, as well as the majority of their force projection assets.

This morning with fears of continued Bolshevik terrorism, the Democratic Atlantian Republic officially announced the return of all diplomatic officers to the Homeland to take place immediately. This announcement comes after terrorists attempted to sabotage Marine Républicaine vessels in the Centro Ocean, and also comes in the wake of a damning medical report declaring the former President of the criminal Eternal Atlantian Empire of Oppression, Veronique Parmentier, to be a transsexual and a known cannibal.

Late yesterday afternoon, the jury selected in the Ministry of Truth, Justice, and Security's case against the brutal murderer "Emperor" and Chief Oppressor Pierre-Henri Teitgen returned to court after thirteen minutes of deliberation with a verdict of "Guilty" on all seven hundred thirty-two counts of first degree murder, two counts of plotting to commit genocide, seven counts of wanton slaughter, and nine hundred ten counts of crimes against the working class, as well as thirty eight counts of rape in the first degree. Their verdict was delivered swiftly in strict accordance with the highest principles of our fair and just legal system. In keeping with the standards of leniency provided by our free government of the people, the Ministry recommended eighty nine consecutive life sentences, however they were overruled by the impartial jury of the known dictator's peers when they delivered a sentence of death by hanging.
When proceedings opened this Monday morning, spectators could not help but be gripped by the Ministry's stunningly vivid descriptions of the murder of eighteen heroes of the workers at a secret government outpost in the south. Chilling testimony, delivered by former aides and workers, some of them male, described the cold, callous manner with which he treated them, often raping them and executing their coworkers daily. When the prosecution's star witness took the stand, a former military advisor under his command, the courtroom was stunned into submission by terrible testimony about his deliberate plotting in the massacre of Grezna, and reported slaughter of six people for not preparing his dress uniform in a timely manner. The officer also described an experience which he witnessed where the "Marshal" reportedly beheaded thirty prisoners of war and used their brains as a protein drink, offering it to their comrades before feeding them the remains in their entirety.
The sentence will be carried out publicly upon apprehension of the murderous criminal and his retinue. Our sacred movement for the workers shall never be derailed by evil Bolshevik terrorists and enemies of the workers such as this creature.
It has been reported that upon hearing the verdict, our Great Leader smiled, and stated that this is clearly a great victory for the working class.

Today, as the trial verdict comes out, the former Atlantian Emperor P. H. Teitgen is the first person in history to get an unprecedented 89 multiple life sentences in recommendation by a jury, which the judge presiding over the case reduced to death by hanging. What do Yuktobanians have so say about the case? "So? Do the Atlantians control who we can or can't deal with?" states one passerby near our printing area. "Teitgen helped us in our time of need, he isn't the type of person to commit that" says another, this time a local youth. Apparently, the local, if not national consensus of Yuktobanian citizens is that we simply "don't care" about the rulings of the Democratic Atlantian Republic's judges, as we aren't the Democratic Atlantian Republic. In other quotings on the topic, such as this from our own Prime Minister, who was quoted for this statement when it was released to the public, is outright defiance to the ruling: "Even though I have forgiven the Democratic Atlantian Republic on its actions and previous declaration of war, which was still unprecedented, as I have not seen clear evidence of these crimes, I will not accept them as truth, unless Teitgen himself admits to them."
