lol saving in bmp makes it 3.85mb which is not allowed on most image-hosters... any that I know of

It doesn't matter about saving this image as GIF, but if you have an image where you want to show alot of detail or colour use jpg or PNG for better quality.

lol ok getting a bit confusing here... why are people worrying about the colour detail? just a few dots here and there. at least you can see the most important part of the picture right?

I think gifs also take up a bit more space than jpegs, even though jpeg's colour is better. I think png is best all around though.

In my opinion, gifs are only good at being animated gifs

.jpg's just blur the color everywhere, theres no quality whatsoever!
.png's don't work properly in most internet browsers, but maintain quality, so I like except for online stuff.
.gif's I like becasue they work in all browsers and because you can have a decent picture for a small filesize.
.bmp's I just hate.
