To start off with we have the brand new Brand. He's been changed to look more 'royaly' and the old model/skin will become Bard II.
Next, we are proud to show the Canal Guard (formerly the Channel Guard, just a name change ). I know for a fact that Matias has put so much effort into these, so be gracious. Guarding the waterways of Dale I believe. You may have already seen these before in a screenshot I showed you all:
Now something for the fans. We want you to come up with some ideas as for what we could use the following building for, as we're undecided:
As for this. Some slight modifications to the common farm you will often find in use. Your resource gatherer for Dale. Nothing special but a slight and attractive variation:
And this one was done by OrcMaster. Originally being used as the Sniper/Hunter it's now being changed to the Mountaineer. Venturing into the mountains they will venture in groups of three. Great attack but poor defence. Think of them as a hit and run:
Just to add to the diversity and possible infantry units Dale has to offer to you, this is the spearmen. Or they are also thought of as the Halberdier. These anti-cavalry spearmen are upgradable and will come in very handy at times:
Your average sentry defence tower. Will be used to defend and fight off any intruders. Can be upgraded with fire arrows, but at a dear price. Often used to guard the outer perimeters of your base, they will be of great use to you, when all else fails:
The last two I will do as one. Firstly we have decided to change our fortress. The old one will be replaced with the following (the one you see is completely unupgraded). And furthermore, the Laketown Outriders. Able to switch between sword and spear, both having advantages and disadvantages for each weapon. This very powerful unit has been modelled and skinned by OrcMaster too:
As I said, we all hope you have a good New Year here at Visions. Comments are welcome and we hope you enjoy the update!

About the Dale Building, it doesn't really look like a unit production building of any kind. I think it may be suited to being a house-type building, which increases your CP limit.

Brand - Awesome skin , really makes him look royal.
Canal Guards - Looks even better ,, I love that skin. Good work.
Dale Building - Saw it some time ago . The design still amazes me.
Farm - Pretty sweet. Nothing else to say really.
Mountaineer - Nice skin ,, though the nose looks kinda big . You won't see that ingame anyway. So good work.
Spearmen - Are those the same as in the beta ? The only thing I can "complain" on is that the Belt looks kinda wierd.
Tower - Looks awesome ,, Matias just showed that to me. Really cool.
Fortress - This ,, is REALLY awesome. Best in this update tbh.
Outriders - The skin isn't the same as in the beta is it ? Cause then it was really bright. Looks cool now anyway.
And there ya go
BebbEdit : Oh , and about the building ,, I say : just add alittle fence and a thing that you shoot arrows at.(You know what I mean ) And it's a Archery Range.

Also, I just noticed that the Dale Halberdier render is wrong, in the latest version (the one that is ingame as well) it actually holds a halberd instead of the spear it has there. Just to prevent Dain from complaining about that.

All looking great

I like that idea. However, if we were to implement that I would make it expensive and as a player you would be limitted to only a few. Prevents unfairness IMO. Your thoughts?

Dale Outpost - Cost: 800
Increases CP by 20.
Commandset contains 2 buttons, the first being:
Fortify - Cost: 1000
Fortifies the Outpost, giving it the ability to fire at enemies and grants it a +30 armor.
The 2nd being:
Trade - Cost: 1000
Allows the purchase of builders at the Outposts and allows it to gather a decent amount of resources.
We are trying to have it so that purchasing one upgrade disables the other.
Opinions?

I specially like the spearmen, but aren't the winged helms and shields of the Chanel Guards and the Outriders too Gondorian-like? After all the Men of Dale were mainly of Northmen ascendancy, related to Woodsmen, Beornings and Rohirrim with some mix of easterling people due to proximity. However without the wings and round shields they would look fine for me. About the emblem, Ì proppose a viking-inspired bird, resembling the thrush of Erebor. Something like that:
Also the Mountaineer IMHO don't look like explorers living in the wild mountains, but some kind of city elite archers with shining and clean armours and decorated helmets, so another name and background may fit them better (although I love their exotic/easterling helmets).
Just some suggestions with utterly respect, please don't take me wrong.
Keep the good work.
Arthadan.
