I was wondering what side the Archangle and the units associated with it, for example Buster, Freedom, and Justice would be on. The archangel was on the side of the earth forces, but after Alaska it was on neither. The Buster was orginally on the side of Zaft, but at the end of the series it was fighting with the archangle. Also the Freedom and Justice were also made by Zaft, but they too fought with the archangle. So I was just wondering what side they would be playable for?

Heroes sometimes switch sides so that might work.

It is possible that a player can hire them from an orbital pirate base or whatever.

Hmm well, as disscussed earlier by the team i think they should just simply go into the Three ships alliance as hero units but alos be avalible with reduced capabilities for the corrseponding teams of origin. Example a freedom and justice for zaft but with reduced stats to indicated the loss of hero like kira. As far as hiring mercs goes i think the astray units should be hirable from the astray series depending what team you are on yyou know like the astray blue red and gold frame, considering infins intent on having the gold frame in there lol
