Sooo, i came across this mod and am dieing to give it a try, but I never used a mod for this game before, so im a little bit confused on the installation procedure's. any help would be appreciated.

i downloaded the mod, saved it to desktop. the next step is to extract it, although im not sure where to do so. i see you need to make a mod folder, so my question is, where do i make this mod folder? anywhere under the main forces of corruption's folder? is there a folder inside a folder i need to make it in? lol.

Directly inside the FoC folder, yes.

So it should look something like this (presuming you used the default install path for EAW/FoC):

:p Im just using the same picture, its easier to just get the Photobucket link than try to direct people to another thread with the same stuff.

Perhaps you should create a PDF document for the readme with pictures describing the install process :p

The installation notes in the read-me are kinda hard to understand for a EaW mod newbie like me.

Installation Instructions:

1. Download mod (which you probbly have already done).

2. Extract the .zip folder (either right click on it and select 'extract to...' or open it and select 'extract'). You need to extract it to the mod folder in the same location you installed FoC (default path is: C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\Mods).

3. Once it has extracted go to this location (via My Computer, etc), right click on the shortcut and select 'Properties'.

4. In the 'Shortcut' tab, you need to change the 'Target' field to whatever location you installed FoC * (default is: "C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods\Phoenix_Rising_Starfighter_Mini-mod).

5. The 'Start In' field also needs to be changed to the location you installed FoC * (default is: "C:\Program Files\Lucasarts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption").

6. Click OK

7. Double click the shortcut to play the mod.

* The reason this needs changing is because PR installs his games to a custom location instead of the default, unlike the majority of people who use the default.

I double-click way too many folders already just to get to the XMLs, so I never use all the extra garbage that comes with the default path for something I'm modding, but I'll have a link with the default path and also a batch for the next version. But if you're still having troubles, the best thing to do is to just use the launcher.

Well don't destroy the mod folder, just the folder with Phoenix Rising mod in it.
