I probably started tinkering around with modeling programs at your age. Ive only really seriously been modeling for about a year now. Most of the time before that was just fooling around.

I have to say though that ive had a lot of experience with other programs, animation and drawing/coloring that helped me a lot when I finally started seriously modeling.

So its never to early to start learning, just don't expect to become an expert in a day.

Well my tip would be stay away from box modeling when doing the head. It will only get you into more problems then you want.

What I do is start off with a plain and build off from that starting with the gundams face plate. There really is no right or wrong, its mostly trial and error and finding out what works best for you.

My advice is just play around for a bit, when you hit something you dont understand look up a tutorial then keep going. Just start with some simple things that you think would look like fun to model and go from there. basically the more you experiment / play around the better you'll get.
