Throughout history humanity has deceived itself with countless religions and organisations that promise peace, understanding and even eternal life. Our fear of death has blinded us as a species from the truth that we should make our own lives worth living. We are constantly being promised by politicians, religious leaders and corrupt bureaucrats that we can have a better life if we follow their ideals. We can be good "consumers" or good "comrades" or good christians or even good "republicans" and "democrats;" but even then there has never been a solution. In my opinion no group can offer a solution, as set of ideals that will work for the entire race of humanity. Every induvidual has to find whatever works for them thereselves or their communities. This is also why my views in the politicial arena will closely represent the views of a Libertarian. Whilst I tend to have socialistic ideals behind, I don't believe a system can solve the problems humanity faces. I believe everyone needs to free their mind, stop fearing being an induvidual and lead their own lives, solve their own problems whilst being able to help each other. I feel that within the human "spirit" this is possible. By spirit I do not mean a religious idea but as in humans identifying themselves as a race. To see everyone else as a human being as well as an induvidual. It sickens me today that humans can treat each other so different to how they treat themselves. It is only through ignorance and need for emotional stability that this can happen. Regardless if people feel my view is an idea of a "utopia" which I believe is impossible, I feel if everyone worked to support each other mentally, physically and emotionally in a community then humans would not have to feel so alienated towards each other.
It is my personal belief that our societies as they exist force us to be nothing more than consumers. We become hypnotised to this state and developed a desire for material possessions, which only further divide us as a race rather than unite us. I do not belief there is anything wrong with having material possessions or even owned property or land, but I do believe that whilst we are distracted from each other and only think about our own desires, emotions and lifes we become unstable as a race. Think about it, we follow our own lives, every day hypnotised to what needs to be done, what we have to get, what bills we have to pay and then at the end of the day we go home and watch TV where we are fed information that continues to enforce and make us believe the society we live in is A-Ok. The lives we lead as consumers just seperates us. In 2003 when New York had its power outage. Everyone went outside and spoke. They said it felt like a real sense of community and common understanding, but as soon as the power goes back online, everyone is back at the manic pace of capitalistic life.
I personally feel that humanity stands at a cross road in evolution at this exact period of time. The pressure is building. Today there is more crime, murder, hatred, war, disillusionment and an acceptance for all these things that it is leading to a breaking point. The world is at breaking point. The east is rising whilst the west is consolidating. In my own opinion and from my own research I personally feel our leaders and the elite dynasties in our capitalistic societies are centralising in fear of losing everything they have gained over the rise of capitalism. Whilst a majority of people would never consider analysing society and its hierarchies to this level, I feel through the analysis of history this is merely going to lead to a repeat of totalitarian ideals that were developed throughout the 20th century by the Nazi and Communist regimes. However I feel that debate is for further discussion in another article.
As for society:
1. I personally believe a fair economic system is required. An entire revolution is needed to replace a system that has become so corrupted by its hierarchy and those that "inhabit" the top and disregard the "bottom." Pyramid societies fail to work as they always lead to domination. America had a great system and an amazing foundation for a free society. A republic based on personal responsibility and respect for the induvidual as human beings. While this republic has been twisted over the last two centuries by elite dynasties within America and ignorance of the American people, it still retains a great foundation and ideals for a better society. All that is needed is an true free market. Markets without regulation are not real free markets as they lead to dominance by either corporations or people who are much better off than the rest of society. Markets must have regulation to assure everyone has the same opportunities as everyone else to earn money and survive.
2. I believe that governments only responsibility is to manage the economy, uphold a constitution and not interfere in any way with peoples lives. I care not if anyone is homosexual, christian, catholic, athesist, etc; it should never be the states interest what the induvidual does in their private life. Induvidual state governments should retain their power for managing that area of the country, but they should be made up of representatives from communities within those states. Federal government should have no power over induvidual state governments unless they are in conflict with economic regulations.
3. Everyone receives equal rights and responsibilities under a constitution regardless of race, colour, sexuality, religion, etc.
Anyway that's enough because rambling from me. I will most likely be seen commenting to other posts rather than posting my own articles; however from time to time I will no doubt post my own articles.
