Aclieron Alliance

History:

The As'hatari were the first race of the alliance to make it into space. Their technology, however, was rather limited. Using chemical rockets in order to reach the final frontier, they spent more time developing ground warfare strategies than trying to improve upon their space-fairing vessels.
The Quilzuud were the first race to develop FTL drives within the alliance ((please note, this period is pre-formation of the alliance)), and immediately started exploring local systems for signs of sentient life. They found the As'hatari on the rock Asrilon... and started an invasion to try and assimilate them.
Due to the skills of the As'hatari, they were able to repel the Quilzuud, and in some cases capture space vessels. After decades of hostile warfare, they reached a bloody stalemate at the gas giant of Aclieron. An epiphony was had by both sides, and the Alliance formed.

Race/Species description:
The As'hatari are a humanoid race, but average 7.5 feet tall. Their legs are long and reverse-jointed (like that of a horse or elite (halo) ). Along with their height comes brawn, and despitte the fact that they are large and heavy, they remain agile. Their weakness - they run slowly.

The Quilzuud are also humanoid, and pretty much look human. They are smaller than humans, and more fragile, but have a high run speed and are very agile. They make excellent scouts, and are rather intelligent.

Basic Explanations for weaponry:

MicroRyfle - A machine gun that fires super-small bullets at a very high rate. While they don't appear to do too terribly much damage on the outside, pierced organs on the inside isn't normally a good thing...

PXZ-79 - A module system based off of one core system, which fires your basic hollow-point armor-piercing bullet. Depending on what you add to it, your weapon can do more damage per each bullet based on shot placement, caliber, or explosive-filled rounds. Also, the PXZ-79 can be fitted with a combination of several additions in order to become even more deadly. I.e. Caliber Increase + Explosive Rounds + Shot Placement = Big Sniper rifle that blows your head off. Or, Caliber Increase + Scatter Shot = shotgun.

T-9 - Rocket turret. You carry it around, put it on the ground when you want to use it, and it shoots off 3 rockets based on a very large (size, not quantity) magazine. Because the magazine is so cumbersome, most T-9 operators have only one magazine and carry a PXZ with them as a backup.

Tx-9 - Rocket platform. T-9 on steroids, pretty much. It rolls around on its treads, and has 5 rocket launchers mounted on it. Each rocket is bigger and carries more explosive than the T-9, and each launcher has a magazine of 5 rockets. The Tx-9 can carry up to 2 magazines per launcher. Because it is so loaded down, the Tx-9 is very slow in combat.

PPBR - The rifle is a scaled down version of what most AA ships are equipped with. It takes a pre-loaded quantity of heavy metal particles (not really in a magazine, more like the jockeys that needelers used in that one level in Halo:CE.), ionizes them, and then shoots them out at extremely high velocities using polar magnets. It is based on two principals - more numerous, small holes cause more internal damage; and lots of radioactive particles inside you will kill you eventually.

Energy Cannon - Duh. It takes any kind of damaging energy you can provide it with (heat, radioactivity, etc.) and shoots it out. Very, very large weapon with a large Line of Fire, but then again, it's very deadly.

DFIC - A pretty basic weapon. It takes a paintball-like sphere filled with combustible gels, and splats a target with them multiple times. After that, the operator switches to a low-inertial-impact round that, oh by the way, makes a flame upon impact. Combustible gels + flame = more fire...

Inertial Mass-Destruction system - A HUGE caliber gun... we're talking about 5 inch diameter bullets here. Mounted via a special jack attached to special troop's armor, it fires these bullets at a slower rate, but with halfway decent accuracy. These are also hollow-tipped. So if you are hit by a 5-inch hollow tipped bullet, you pretty much get torn in half.

Energy Sword - Pretty much the same as the one from Halo, but it looks like a Katana. Takes polarized plasma, uses a strong magnetic field to shape it into a blade. The shape of the field is unique, and so is its polarity, so metals = not attracted to your sword unless you polarize them a special way.

Culture of the Aclieron Alliance

Religion

The Alliance worships an ethereal being called "The Fayth". It is usually represented by a glowing blue or white sphere.

((Pretty much, seeing as how I don't know how to explain it any further, take the religion from Final Fantasy X, remove the Maesters, Aeons, Yu Yevon, Sin, etc., and you have this one. Hymn of the Fayth and the greeting/prayer gesture that is the Blitzball sign for victory stays. The AA uses that greeting in most situations, excluding negotiations or other first-contact situations for fear of provoking a religious war.))

More to come tomorrow...
