I figured I would start this topic since... I have it, I'm on mission four but I keep hitting the spike roof in the cathedrel torture room.

But yeh kick ass game, the fight between Nero and Dante at the start was so good.

Im playing DMC3 again, because my 360 is red ringed, and I've gotta say, It's SOOOO GOOD, Man I really want DMC4 lol

Shame, you know PS3 has a failure rate of like 0.5% anywhay my brother is playing DMC3 on PS2. DMC4 is excellent the gunplay the swordplay are great fun and nero is pritty sweet. His Devil Bringer is cool and you can impale enemies with there own lances. I just hit chapter 9 before I decided to call it quits for tonight.

Anyhow, i got DMC 4 for my ps3 3 days ago. Up to lvl 10 now, taking a break before taking control of dante.

I find that while the demon arm is cool, nero is all in all, a turd compared to dante. Exceed is useless cause even if i ex-act'ed half of all my hits, id kill faster if i invested points in other stuff. And as far as im concerned, exceed doesnt raise my action bar, so its useless. Combine that with the lousy gun...

Cool boss finishers though.

I feel that the game should be a spinoff of dmc rather than the 4th chapter, since dnte has more of a cameo than a real part, but other than that i looooovvveee it.

I wonder if anyone has ever finished the 6th and last difficulty. I cant find any descriptions of it cuse ppl seem to not even be able to beat the 5th one. (dante must die mode)

Isnt the 6th Heaven or Hell mode?


Everyeon's one hit kill, including bosses.......and you. so Dante with Ebony and Ivory is perfect. just make sure you never get hit, cuz you'll just die right on the spot.

Heaven or Hell was scary on the Laviathan level in DMC3, every time you miss a step ur dead. Those acid puddles are annoying, especially after everything went dark. cant even see it while ur trying to jump through these things.



But all in all it's fun, has you jumping everytime you see a suprise attack from an enemy, cuz they'll appear right next to you half a second from hitting you. made me jump a few times lol

You can't have every DMC game just Dante kicking everyone's ass.

Three games as lead protagonist is enough, I actually find his replacement, Nero, to be superior than him in some ways, character wise of course.

I think the fact that Nero actually cares about other people adds some kick ass-ness to his character, and the fact that he actually has a love interest.

I dont know, They should make a Virgil game, Would be so freakin awsome. But actually have him as a main character, not just an add-on. this way he actually uses different weapons and stuff, hey it could be fun right?

Still, as long as he's in the game im fine with it. now if they made a game without him, that'd be a whole different story......Unless it's Virgil, I can live with that.

I wont spoil anything but the credits are... entertaining roughly last 3rd of the game is playing as Dante and then Nero at the end. Dante starts off around Neros level (play wise) but once you start aquireing the devil arms he becomes infinintly better. Gillgamesh has to be my favorite one followed be the lucifer sword.

Finished it. Actually i finished it a long time ago, but im only saying now. Im stuck trying to beat the shit out of agnus in dante's part in son of sparda mode, he's super-cheap. I expect him to die within tmr though.

I disagree with that about the devil's arms. Maybe i just dont know how to use it, but gilgamesh seems pretty useless to me. Lucifer is too slow. Rebellion works just nice for me, with swordmaster style maxed out.

Anyway, dunno how to put this without spoiling, but i noe you have to...er...continue playing while during the credits. How do you know if you succeed though? As far as i could tell, i didnt let anyone touch the 'target' but my screen cut out to nero and just standing there for the rest of the credits and flashbacks in the water reflection. Is that it?

The thing about the devil arms is the work against certin enemies/bosses. For instance I found Gilgamesh was excellent at demolishing guards.

Yes, now that i think about it it should be pretty good agaisnt the knight guys. Maybe berial too. To each his own i guess...i just love rebellion though, for any sort of work.

Btw, anyone else disappointed, even abit, at yamato? Damage seems pretty subdued.
