You can build an eclipse class star dreadnought by opening the file
Program files\lucasarts\Empire At War Forces of Corruption\Mods\Poenix_rising_space\Data\XML\Space Units Dreadnoughts_Eclipse_class_star_dreadnaught
and changing "Build_Initially_Locked>yes<Build_Initially_locked" to "Build_Initially_Locked>no<Build_Initially_Locked"
You will Then be able to build an Eclipse complete with a planet destroying superlaser.

He's talking Eclipse, not sovereign.

Yeah the eclipse was in the fighter mini-mod, before v1.0. So it's still there in the files. :)

You can do this, but it has no secondary weapons, just the superlaser.

There is another model for the space addon 3.1 mod but I doubt they would let you use it.

Heh, why is that? Not that I really need it with the Sovereign-class...

Well maybe they would seeing that space addon is finished now. It could be the emperors flagship and that. You can't mass produce them just be the emperors flagship. (and make it a obsene amount of money say 400000 credits) The model is good and has plenty of bones.
Edit: They also have good Victory 1,2 and 3 models as well.

hehe you never know. I think PR has been around doing work for other mods for a bit (like FoCA in the early versions) so he has a pretty good rep lol.

There's a few unnamed modders in the community tghough, that after borrowing everyone else's work for their big mod, and delivering huge speeches about how everyone should work together to benefit the star wars fans, did a total about-face and declared that their new mod will not be giving out anything at all. Not to name any names, but the hypocrisy reeks to high heaven, and many of you know who I'm speaking of lol.

You know what? Go ahead and name them. Why should you be protecting their sullied reputations? I find the practice entirely perplexing.

Content exclusivity is nothing more than a sign of an egotistical and inexperienced mod leader. We're not professional teams, so stop mimicking them. I mean, I'm not going to do what EvilleJedi did and just tell people to go crazy, because I know it will be a one-way street in many cases, perhaps even with no street sign. But I usually allow people to use one of my models if they ask for it and I can't say that I've been turned down yet in any of my requests to the XWA community.

I don't! But whoever they are they are idiots. Well the modding community should work together but really some people are just crazy. You are not making money out of modding so why keep something to (such as a model) to just your mod.

My nose is probably best kept out of it. It's possible I misinterpreted the stated intent. I was kinda plumbing to see if anyone else saw it as I did, without having to name the involved parties. But now I'm starting to feel like the town gossip and regret it.

Excuse me? who do you think you are? who are you to get mad at people who don't want their work used more over than a triple-c***ed hooker!

That's just bollocks to think it's a bad thing, and i bet i can name these people you're talking about.

Z3r0x (Who lets close friends use his stuff) Fosh (Who gave LoW's stuff to a Modding Group ) and MSeagle (Who is thankfully gone).

I, myself, have no problem with people using my stuff, what i DO not like is people using it to such a degree that it's not new despite the actual changes to said Unit.

Now i have no problem with PR re using over done stuff, because it's an actual change rather than a new coding job.

IE : Awesome bumps/Rigging, completely new balance...Rotating Turrets.

Back on topic (and to prevent a this from getting out of hand  ) I would rather see new victory models then a eclipse. I like the eclipse and all but considered the work phoenix would have to go through to make a eclipse fully rigged with rotating turrets and such it would be easier to leave that to a patch or something. The turrets are nice but no offence dosn't it seem akward that the turrets are at 45 degrees or is that a game problem?

Well, I actually don't agree with you. Why don't share stuff if it can make a mod better? For what do you make mods, for people having a better game experience, or for popularity? I wouldn't care if someone used my models to make his own mod, if he asks. Why can't you share your work? Is it a big enterprise in where you might lose money because you let someone use your work? Remember that in the end, the mods that rise are the ones with people that worked hard and have clear what they want for their mods. If someone just comes and uses all your work and does a mod with a million ships, then that mod wouldn't be good, because lazy people leave their mark in everything they do.

TheEmpire, the degrees angle is a game problem. In other topics (I believe that in the one with Dalmp's pack) PR explains why. And would rather see models for the planet unique ships, I believe that they would be great.

Yes that is true and I agree that the people share the models but the few that do not give credit are the problem. But this is completely off topic so someone should make a new topic about this though.
I really just want to just see the models for some ships be made more canon before new ships are added.

PR doesn't really have on off-topic board, so where do we discuss this here? Oh, and hi Dr. Nick.

I hadn'd notised that it had no secondary weapons otherwise I probably wounldnt have posted it but I agree that a modder should not be bothered that someone else uses their work as long as they dont go too far. Great mod by the way!
