Anyways, modding PR isn't quite the same as modding EaW/FoC.
I didn't get new stuff into the game when I followed the tutorials some time ago, but I just realised, that you probably MUST edit the Tech tree files too. I think I'll go test that out later today...

As long as you're putting it in as research and/or you want the unit to be upgradable.I meant to post this earlier, but I forgot to...
Anyways, modding PR isn't quite the same as modding EaW/FoC.
I didn't get new stuff into the game when I followed the tutorials some time ago, but I just realised, that you probably MUST edit the Tech tree files too. I think I'll go test that out later today...

You can find one excellent tutorial here: Beginners Tutorial for FoC Mod
EDIT:
It's best to include it in GC first. Just make sure it's non-slicer, available at start at techlevel 0 and spacebase 1; then you can be sure you coded everything fine.
BTW, you created a new file for it? If so, do you have reference to it in Gameobjectfiles.xml?
