Ok. I downloaded mod studio and have it running under Wine in Ubuntu Linux.
I had to download two .dll files for it to work due to windows dependencies.
MSVCP71.DLL
msvcr71.dll
now with those two .dll files it will open and I can extract everything. However I am unable to alter any of the .rgd or .lua files. It will not allow me to dump .rgd files to a .lua or let me alter any other files while using the program.
This may have something to do with the fact that the sub directories linux uses are based in the home folder and are hidden by default.
( I.E. /home/user/.wine/drive_c/program files/THQ/Dawn of War - Dark Crusade/) and the program simply has no idea where to game directory is.
However it does know where to create the folder for a new mod and knows exactly where the game folder is regardless of the /.wine directory.
This is somewhat puzzling because I have run the app in a terminal windows and it yields only garbage data.
I was wondering if anyone here knows a good way to get this working. I rather hate windows and would love to be able to use this app again.
