... "Chronicles of the Forgotten" ... :good: We don't want to doom it from the start.

"The Rise of Man"

"Rage Against the Nephilim" (thrown in there for comic value)

"FGSFDS" (see above)

"Salvation"

I'm out of suggestions.

I personally like "Salvation's Anemia," because Salvation usually implies going to God's side--which is one of our enemies. As we are not evil, we aren't Salvation's enemy: merely its thorn in the side. However, I am not a huge fan of apostrophes :good:

The Salvation being our fellow humans who have broken free from the shackles of mind-slavery?

I'm pretty sure i made this suggestion for another RPG(infact, im certain), but what about nature is the 'power' behind us?
so the three way battle between heaven, hell, and nature
(nature has made a stand in this war when the forces of heaven and hell decide to bring their battle to earth. Super humans are its answer to angels and demons. you could some very cool were-beasts going on that way)

But whatever, i do however think we should get to fight angels and demons.
what i dont get is why the angels are evil too?

As I understand it, angels aren't evil, just uncaring. Devils are, after all, angels too. They're both simply using humankind as pawns in their cosmic game of chess and it sucks for us, and Ravnin's character happens to be the dude who can break the poor defenceless humans free.

@ Mike: I suggested that already, apparently that wouldn't fly. I'll run my steampunk one some other time. I was intending to make it significantly different to how this one seems to be panning out, just with a vaguely similar background.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

The way I see it (in regards to this RP), Heaven and Hell are merely opposite forces, like light and dark, negative and positive, north and south, except they are sentient. Humanity became exploited by these powers, first as a way of carrying out one's agenda on another plane of existence (religious fanaticism), and later (in the time of this RP) as an actual resource to control.

Differences between Angels and Demons:
Angels tend to embrace the light, air/flight, cold, and brainwash humans into unthinking servitude.
Demons, then, are the opposite: dark and fiery, underground, and break the will of humans and enslave their minds.

There are others, but I'll save my dissertation for if and when this RP gets started.

so let me get this straight.

1. humans, hell and heaven are at war with the humans being enslaved and stuff.
2. we are like super heroes that are going to save humanity (except without the costumes)

okay so is that the sort of Rp this is.
because if it is i would join it definetly.

Anyone notice a similarity to the failed RP Celestial Wars :p

Similarities are there, but it is far more likely that this one will succeed as Ravnin can actually be trusted to set this up before he disappears for several weeks, completely inexplicably. :p

Yes, I'm changing my original idea. Now, we are all results of The Geneticist's work. However, remember that we would have been engineered for a specific purpose--mine being to free captive humans. Ergo, our powers will be fairly specific and yet not powers reminiscent of X-Men: with a limited amount of resources available to the scientists who created us, our abilities wouldn't be "OMG I can walk through wa11s and sh00t l453r b34ms!!1!" but more on the lines of "I can restore broken wills and cause people to see through the brainwashing and the lies that they have been led to believe."

Of course, that one is the power of my particular character, so everyone else's will be different.

But we're still not going to be fighting against any angels and demons? Just freeing humans and fighting the enslaved ones but with our extra slightly creepy powers?

@ Vort: We'll end up fighting our fair share of Powers, but the primary goal and plotline is to free the enslaved humans. So the answer is both :thumbsupsmiley:

@ Copa: No idea, but I have that effect in real life too, just with less awesomeness. Of course, most people's definition of "awesome" differs from mine.

I bet your definition of awesome is the same as mine: "Me." :thumbsupsmiley:

Sounds pretty cool, then. Now that that's all clarified, count me in.

First of all, I'd like to apologise for being away for the past week or so. RL and stuff, y'know, it's annoying.

Anyway, this seems to have sufficient interest and have a suitably fleshed out idea and a clear gameplan so all is well as far as I'm concerned. Ravnin, you need to tell me what Sub-forums you want and in what order and I, or some other friendly passing-by Admin *coughVortigerncough* will set it up in the near future
