"KRONOS, is your drone ready to recieve the virus?" asked the first chancellor.
"I think," said Prime Chancellor Desalan, "That if we are ever going to put our plan to fruition, now is the time."
"I would have to agree Chancellor," said Supreme Commander Del'Avosa, "Everything is ready, we just await the orders."

"yes, even as we speak Kronos has ships phased just outside the gates spacial location" said Con, a Kaltesian representative for kronos speaking from one of his ships.
"and we are ready to take the virus and destroy the domain forces" Con stepped back, looking over his shoulder at the other kaltesian next to him
"this is fantastic! the threat of domain will soon be eliminated, and we can work towards our ultimate goal"
"Yes, it is a momentous occasion... i am interested however in this gateways between dimensions, they are fascinating to say the least. I wonder who built them"
"that doesn't matter right now Gered! we are about to defeat an enemy of near unstoppable power in this galaxy... If we can do it here, then there might still be a chance for our home galaxy, and save not only our races, but countless others who are being wiped out by the Purge"
((hhhmmm, i just thought of something, nowe, expect a pm[nothing to important, just a thought]))

"That and the obvious intel that we require. KRONOS has already given us information on the nature of Domain weaponry, but I am assured by my people that there is more. Any would be appreciated.
"Let us continue, now."

"Continuing the briefing. Intel reports have found the location of the Domain home world. We have also found evidence of the machine they use to send out the subspace corrolative updates to all of their ships at once. This is where we plan on planting the virus. KRONOS, your main focus is this area here, deemed as Sector Alpha, sub quadrant 3. This will be the point of intrusion against the Domain. The rest of our forces will engage the Domain in Sector Gamma," on the hologram, the view of the planet shifted, "At sub quadrant 1. We will focus all of our firepower ship by ship. KRONOS, you will need to be as stealthy as possible to avoid detiction while the diversion is taking place."
"We also found these images from our intel," a hologram of what looked like a giant cannon appeared on screen, "These are anti-orbital energy based cannons as far as we can tell. There are larger versions on the surface, also deemed anti-orbital, although we can guess that their range is far beyond that of the planet's orbit. Please note that we must take these structures out first if we are to have any chance of success. We hope to keep the Domain preoccupied with us to give KRONOS enough time to get in, plant the virus, and get out, without getting any of our ships destroyed. Be that as it may, we must strike while we can, and aftarwards we will finally be able to take a look at the Domain weapons and shields and hopefully be able to reverse engineer several of these systems."
"Any other comments or concerns from those gathered?" asked Desalan.

"From the descriptions of the Domain's larger ships, I see that boarding missions are pointless. However, I'd like to know from those who've fought the Domain longer whether it may be advisable to board and commandeer smaller enemy craft. If we have intel on the weaponry of the crew of ships and the interior of these vessels, it would be relatively simple to adapt some equipment to better fight the Domain crews. Captured ships would give us a treasure trove of technologies to reverse engineer."

if you dont like what i have done then you can delete my post/ edit it to make it work out how you want, but in the absence of your moderation, i came up with this:))
"I must bring your attention to a flaw in your grand scheme" came Kronos' voice over the communicator
"as you know i have in my possession a few domain frigates of my own, and a certain function in the security mainframe as caught my attention..."
The screens displaying information to involved parties showed a complex set of code, and scans of components from within the ships.
"I believe it was not brought to your attention previously because of the large amount of security, and the fact that the domain ship you had previously captured was damaged... if the data i have on said ship is correct, then the segment that housed the hardware for this system has completely destroyed in the ship you had at your disposal".
"However, in the ships under my control remained intact, and the security system functioning. It resisted till long after i had gained complete control of every other system, and has only recently devulged its secret function"
There was a pause
"It is a cut off... programmed to disable the ship and isolate it completely from all other domain vessels.
In short, your plan to exploit the update system will not work"
Another pause let his words sink in. Even the kaltesians representing him were shocked, having no prior knowladge of this finding.
"Fortunately we have been given a solution to our problem, in the form of this gates located outside this dimension. I believe we can utilise this gate network, as a medium for our Virus. we can infect all ships at once, bypassing this cut-off switch embedded in the domain craft."
"All this means is that we must retrieve the gate network, before defeating the domain threat...
I will give you time to deliberate on this finding, and make your choice as to which action you feel is best"
((so, we get the gates first, and use them to infect every ship of domain in the galaxy, seems easy, no?))

"This is desturbing news indeed KRONOS. However this does mean that our ships would not have to engage any Domain ships at their home world, which will keep our losses to a minimum. However I will say this: What are these gates as we will call them. Do they act as some form of network for faster then light travel or transmissions? Do we have the full codes that these gates use in order to process this information, because if we do not, one small mistake in any form could have unintended and disasterous results. We must be absolutely certain and all agreed before we are to make any attempt at the gate system before taking out the Domain threat, rather then after," said Supreme Commander Del'Avosa.

"even as we speak i am analysing further... but there is only so much information i can gain while not properly phased with the gates dimension. I am currently on the limit, only just outside the bounds of that dimension" said Kronos.
"It seems that a great 'dimensional wall' interrupts most if not all signals and transmission, scrambling them thoroughly. As thus i have not been able to gain much information on the gate network, other then that they are small ring-like portals, for instantaneous travel to any other gate in the network..."
"I have not sent though any of my forces, as reliable data indicates that i would loose contact with this unit... i would have to pre-program commands into it and await, and hope, its completes its objective and returns undamaged"
"The gates are too small to transport large ships, and exactly how you specify your destination is unknown too me... but i believe that after we bring these gates back, i can analyse them and have everything worked out"
Kronos concluded, emotionlessly, but the receivers almost picked up a sense of aplomb in his words, as if he spoke without a doubt in his ability to decipher the gates.

"The reason ambasador," piped up a Lumiaran scientist, "Is because the device generates heavy subspace fields. In general, if left unchecked for months, these fields could spread into the Q space, that which holds the universe together, and thus cause a collapse. This is why the device is only used in extreme situations and such situations are then carefully monitored for a period of time afterwards."
"Thank you G'vanshi," stated the Prime Minister, "With this new technology that KRONOS believes we can attain, we will have to modify the plan slightly. However, we must still infect the Domain computers before they realize our intents, for when they do they will surely try and stop us."
After the minister completed her statement, a radar specialist who had been operating the long range scanners rushed into the room, "Prime Minister! Domain fleet showing on sensors! Twelve light years and closing- fast!" he said.
"Damn it! How the hell do they keep finding us!?" swore Del'Avosa.
"Time for that discussion later," hastened Prime Minister Desalan, "G'vanshi, have the Hellfire transport all personnel from this facility onto her decks, we must fight back, with all haste, before this plan is taken apart here and now. Doj'Imani," she said to the radar specialist, "How many would you predict where in the fleet?"
"At least two dozen minister!" the specialist's face flushed white.
"Two dozen, we have handled worse. Transport now," said Del'Avosa into his com link.
A white flash filled the interior of the facility, as all personnel, Lumiaran or not, where transported to the Hellfire. "Status report!" commanded Del'Avosa as he arrived on the bridge with Desalan and the other ambasadors.
"Sir! They are two light years out and closing fast!" said the lieutenant monitoring the helm.
"Shit. Shields to the ready! All fleets move into Ithlon formation. We're going to hit these bastards hard and fast! For the glory of Lumiara!" said Del'Avosa.
As the ships bridge had been linked to all other ships in the fleet, all Lumiarans heard the call, and a massive cheer went out over the entire com system. The wave of sheer joy filled Desalan as she heard her people as one, and then came the waves of sheer terror at what they were now facing. Not only where there Lumiarans aboard her ships, but there were ambasadors and major military personnel from the alliance aboard them as well. "We must stand and fight today!" called Desalan, "We will fight with our allies! Our friends! Our families!"
"Half a light year sirs!"
"But know this," stated Desalan, "If we fall today, we will never be remembered. Our names will be lost, and our glory rescinded. We must fight, and win, for we are the few that are left. We must win, for we are fighting for the survival of the galaxy! Good luck, and godspeed!"

"the ships are here", flinging out of hyperdrive the domain ships appeared, and almost instantly began their bombardment. they did not however go unchallenged, as the forces of the alliance moved to counter attack, dodging and sweeping.
As the ships moved into a semi circle to surround their enemies Kronos' fleet began to emerge from behind. First many smaller ships, dwarfed by the huge domain dreadnoughts, but slowly the numbers began to amass, more and more.
Four of the dreadnoughts broke formation, and went to attack. Kronos's growing fleet reformed itself, into three equally large motherships. added to this the first of his reinforcements had arrived, which he had called on at the first detection of the domain attack. Now Kronos had four mothershps to rival the domain motherships, but also many smaller craft at his disposal, and more to come if he could hold off for long enough. It would all be for nothing however if the domain forces took out the alliance fleet, and the odds were definitely stacked against them...
((So, are we gona use the virus to attack these ships? cause it could be a good demonstration of the 'cut off' system. we could them have part of the domain fleet destroyed, but the others survivoe because of the cut off, and we have to defeat them the old fashion way?
and good to have you back Nowe... can you stay back this time ?))

Shandrava gunned the engine to its maximum, putting several million kilometres between she and the warships in seconds. Safely away from the battle, Shandrava rendesvoused with the Rakbi ambassador's vessel, and docked her small and swift StormRider with the luxury craft. The Rakbi exited into the larger vehicle, relishing the space to breathe. This ship contained a small warp drive, and Shandrava Vore directed it to skip over the parsecs to the Star Orca, which she had left in a nearby system.
In charge of the powerful StormCaster ship again, the Vore commander warped back to the battlefield, entering space unwisely close to her allies but avoiding collision. Over the sub-radio, Shandrava contacted her allies. "We're here," the low, rumbling voice of the Rakbi sounded, "we can support you at range if you will inform us which ship to focus fire upon. This vessel will not withstand a great many blows from the Domain--it relies too much on its FalseShield, which will easily take even the most powerful shots, but cannot sustain the effort under continued fire."
