Oh, i just thought of something. Should the race you have to make a character for be Human instead of some random alien race. That would solve all issues about their society and whatever, and would require less explanation from me)

I think this could use its own topic, so here it is^

Using human is much easier, however, it would indicate that human spread throughout the galaxy.

Yeah, it would be humans of the future, so they hold a few star systems and are all futuristic.
They are going to be allied with the Empire (despite my map having sol located in alliance space, but like i said, dont follow the map to closly, its just to give you an idea)

So we can't have a race that is a break off of humanity?

No, Sorry.

The old Worlds of War didn't have humanity in it either (although i think there was something about a ship with the last surviving humans in it?).

Hmmm.....

Terran Hegemony
New Earth Pioneers
The UWSC Alliance

Three human factions from the old Worlds of War. I don't recall ever reading anything saying human factions were not allowed. And the New Earth Pioneers were the remnants in the crashed ship, as you remembered. Anyway, the point is, look before you leap. I don't see why Drakconus can't have humanity as his faction, I really don't. Drakconus and Mike, nobody else. It's perfectly conceivable, indeed likely, that humanity would have split apart and would not be all part of the same empire. At some point somebody would come along and find a new planet and say "Hey, let's go live there, and I'll be your new government, and it'll be awesome," and enough believe it that it takes off and grows and becomes a new independent colony. That's how humanity operates.

Not unless i say so.
If i really wanted to put a hole in your plans i could say this is in a completely different universe to ours, thus no humans ever existed.

But i have decided to allow mike and drak two to have human-descended races, so vort you are arguing something which has already fallen in your favor.

And Cas is right, none of those ever went into the RP, with one being just a blatant halo rip anyway.

And if humanity split then every other race would have split also, why would it be just humans? Your people were originally a split off FZM's guys, so that can be ok, but most races would also need to be split for it to be consistent and make sense.

And besides, i was going under the idea that much like the nations of earth are united in the UN(well, most of them anyway) that races would also have gotten over stupid internal struggle and united under one banner for their race. They keep their independence like countries keep their independence on earth, but they unite for the greater good of humanity and what not.

But it doesn't really matter anyway, as this is all over and settled.
I'll wait a bit longer for votes, but it seems humans will be the characters for the second part, which is pretty good, means less work for me :umad:

Humans, beyond a doubt. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with me whining if the race isn't amphibious. All my alien races are always amphibious :umad:

Most of my alien races are brutal and murderous. It's so much more fun that way, I find.

SWG: I have long since finished arguing that one. My points were made, they were good, and whether or not they did the trick is irrelevant because it all worked out anyway. Sweet. Also, I honestly don't think the UN will last that much longer as anything more than a political symbol. I fully expect the UN to become the global equivalent of the monarchy in Britain: no real power, simple figurehead status, and celebrated in Australia but nowhere else. All the Queen can do is give royal assent to new bills of Parliament, but she can't even turn them down. She has no choice but to sign them into law. That's what I think the UN will be, except with wars and whatnot. The big countries will declare war on somewhere and then make it legitimate by going through the UN, and then most of the world's smaller nations will think it's OK and go with them, and then all hell will break loose and we'll all be fucked. Anyway, my depressing visions of the humanity's future aside, let's just use humans. It'll be easiest, and potentially extremely entertaining.

Ooh, can I write their history? Please? :umad: Just let me know the timeline for humanity and I'll write it up in awesome form. :p

No way!
I'm gonna be controlling the race that we character RP as. And seen as its humans that means i get to do that stuff :xcahik_:
However you can make suggestions and stuff to me which i might add :p

and unlike you i think that the unprofitability of war will keep it from happening. They were reminded of just how expensive it is from the whole terrorist situation.

One question....

If I'm going to make a character history, I need to know the limit to my human character.
I must know whether I can create a human empire or colony or whatever so far away from Solar system (which means this character is not gonna be quite the human we are but a human from some place else with his/her own culture).

Humans from Earth. Although you could be an immigrant from a from a different planet.

The human domain extends across 3 regions(one for original humans, one for mikes humans, and one for draks humans)

With a few different planets in each. Im not sure how big mike and drak were thinking their human empire would be, but i was thinking about half a dozen planets in each 'region'.

Where are these regions going to be? And are those 6 earth like planets or 6 planets all together?

The 'regions' would probably be adjacent to each other near Sol's(and the other nearby) system(s), as that makes the most sense for humans to expand to nearby stars.

As for the planets, that was just an estimate of about how many planets they have. You could also have smaller colonies and moon bases and whatnot, but 6 (i guess they could be called: ) 'main' planets.

So they would be earth-like planets. Population sustaining planets. If you want some to be non-earth-like planets with your people living underground in domes or something then you can, whatever you want to do.
