We have a new update!!
Ps i am linking to images cause the board does not accept this format.

Ok folks,

i'm assuming i have to clear-up some things now...

Originally we were invited to be part of the big "summer of mods of indies" - feature ( Moddb.com ). As we were not allowed to speak about it or to reveal, that we are part of it, we could only say that "the big update will come". The "big update", we have always talked about, was our contribution to this ModDB feature. We had sent a lot of pictures, videos and other stuff, but now ModDB has simply cut us out of the feature, without any message.
I apologize that you have waited weeks for the big update and now it's canceled...

Nonetheless we have now the possibilty to show the stuff of the feature in our way.
As i don't want to simply throw out tons of stuff without any context, we are going to split the content of the feature into several updates.

We start today with a nice new feature of the mod, the tactical mission reports. These screens will become the loading screens of the various tactical missions and tell you, what you have to do and what has happened:
Beyond that, we will deliver a lot of special features with the release. For example the hardpoint layouts of the ships will be published as tech journals, like these:
Click Here For A ImageClick Here For A Image
Click Here For A ImageClick Here For A Image
Last but not least for today, we have another special map for you! This time, a map of the capital planet of a very hostile faction:
For those, who don't recognize it, it is CELESTIS, home of the Ori! :p

As i said, we will split the content of the feature, so this is it for today.

Have fun with the latest stuff!
See you in some days again!

This is the fully animated, new GC planet Supergate. The Gate has NO activation effect, but the Ori ship is roaming around it. The glow is still missing, as we haven't made it yet. :p

Tauri Space Station Tech 1
Finished Tauri Station Tech 1

This one shows the already known, but this time finished and textured Tauri Space Station Tech 1. The turrets are missing, as this is already the rigged version for in-game usage.
Tauri Space Station Tech 3

These render show the next tech level Tauri station. Turrets are missing, as this mesh is already the rigged one for in-game usage.

Finally, we have a nice small feature video for you. It shows the build-up of the Atlantis special land map. Have fun with it:

That's it for this time, hope you have fun with the content! See you in some days again, bye!

Sorry there are no images i am just a but tired and short on time lately go to here for images and a video.

Hello community, it took a long time, but today we have the last "big" update for you!

Why did it take so long? Well, originally i wanted to wait till the last patch for the Final 1.1 is finished, but it seems to take a bit more time. To accelerate the development and to give you already access to the beta version of the patch, check out the forum topic on our German homepage: Stargate-eaw.de〈=de

Please download the patch and report bugs and issues into this forum topic, NOT here on ModDB, thx! I am going to upload it here on ModDB, when it is completely finished.

You should also know, that this update does NOT contain stuff from the original ModDB feature anymore. All you see is new but because of that, we have left out some older things. :xcahik_:

Ok, so much about the general stuff, let's start with the interesting part! In the last news, you have already seen some of the Aschen buildings, but today we have the brand new huge Aschen headquarter for you! It will be the main point of interested on the Aschen homeworld map.

Posted Image

Furthermore, we have some other new map assets. The following buildings are meant to be part of the Alpha base map. They are WIP as you can see, but Klon will build a nice Tauri outpost with them.

Posted Image

If you have a look at the Mission Report of the Hassara station in one of our last news, you will recognize that our former Goauld space station had nothing to do with the station in the series (concerning the texture). That's why we have totally revised the Goauld space station in 5 tech levels:

Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image

But now we have a little problem. As our Tech 5 station is actually the Hassara station, we have thought that it'd be a good idea to make it looking different. And that's why the Hassara station now looks like this:

Posted Image

I think you see the difference! :p

Last nut not least, we have a brand new unit for you! Who does recognize it?^^

Posted Image Posted Image

Yeah, it's the experimental Hatak of Apophis, which was destroyed by SG-1 in the series. Credits to Wolf V.2 for the model, thx!

That's it for today, I hope you had fun with the update!

Greetings,

the SGMG

July 18, 2010 (Older Update)

McKay: „Hey Sheppard, I think I have discovered something very interesting in the data base!“
Sheppard: „What is it?“
McKay: „It is a kind of logbook entry, apparently written while the war against the Wraith.“
Sheppard: „Well, then tell me about it!“
McKay: „You should better have a look at it...“

***Atlantis data base; File 18-0710 A:***

"There is war in the Pegasus galaxy. The Wraith are everywhere and more numerous than ever! More and more colonies fall pray to them. Moreover the fortunes of war turned against us. Somehow the Wraith managed to increase their number in a very short time and to run down our positions. Each ship we destroy gets replaced by 2 new ones. We can't hide any longer in Atlantis. In secrecy we have started to build an enourmes warfleet, to withstand this threat. Against the huge Wraith fleet our usual ships don't stand a chance. To avoid our extinction, we have created powerful new war machines, that can match the fleet of the Wraith."

McKay: „There is even more, I think a list of the whole fleet, but I am not able to decode everything now. I have only unlocked 3 of the ship classes. I will need more time to unlock them all.“
Sheppard: „Whatever, show me what you've got!“

Troop carrier
(HighPoly-Render, LowPoly-Render, In-Game)
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

The growing number of Wraith soldiers forced us to create a larger transporter than the Jumper, which is able to carry many soldiers simultaniously. The troop carrier can drop several dozens of soldiers to the battlefield and is therefore very suitable to perform attack operations behind enemy lines.

Battle Drone
(HighPoly-Render, LowPoly-Render, In-Game)
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Based on the lack of pilots, we have created the battle drone. It is a AI-controlled, highly-maneuverable ship. With its 3 small laser, it can be used for the defense against Darts.

Heavy Fighter
(HighPoly-Render, LowPoly-Render, In-Game)
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Due to the new Wraith fighters, our usual ones fell behind them, concerning firepower and armor. The result of this was the creation of the heavy fighter, that can match the heavy Wraith fighters with its 4 heavy lasers and its strong armor.

August 10, 2010 (Newest Update)

Sheppard: „How about the data Rodney? Are you done with the decryption of the remaining log files?“
McKay: „Done? Well, I've just tried a new algorithm and it seems to work somehow, but...........“
Sheppard: „Rodney, yes or no?“
McKay: „Oehm, yes and no...“
Sheppard: „McKay!“
McKay: „I simply didn't have enough time yet, OK? There are more important things to do. Apart from that the code is quite hard to crack. But I could at least open 4 new entries.“
Sheppard: „At least anything...so let me see“
McKay: „Actually there are only 2 new entries. The Jumper and the Corvette are already known, aren't they? Hehe.“
Sheppard: „Rodney!“
McKay: „Ok, ok!“

Atlantis data base; File 10-0810 A:

Heavy Bomber
(HighPoly-Render, LowPoly-Render,In-game)
(Credits: Model&Texture: DukeaufDune)
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Until now we needed several hundred drones to destroy only one single Hive. Thanks to the new Heavy Bomber, which is carrying very huge, powerful drones, even only a few of these new ship are already a threat for an entire Wraith fleet.

Frigate
(HighPoly-Render, LowPoly-Render,In-game)
(Credits: Model&Texture: DukeaufDune)

As a fast interceptor ship against enemy corvettes, the Frigate does not carry that many weapons and no drones. Its purpose is mainly to defend smaller, less important colonies against raid attacks of small Wraith fleets.

Looks like Mckay was able to find some information on some of the Wraith buildings, hopefully they'll prove useful in bringing the Wraith to their demise.

So if you didn't figure it out already the Stargate team has some nice new Wraith buildings (space only) for us today, as well as news of a fan-made patch for the released version of the mod for vanilla EAW. Enjoy the update, and I'll keep you updated on any further news.

McKay: "Hi John, once again I found something interesting in the database.“
Sheppard: "Oh finally, the latest logs of the Lantian ships.“
McKay: "Oh.......ehm.......no these files are too overencrypted and I’m simply unable to recover some of them.“
Sheppard: "What else could be so interesting? A guide to Ascension, a ZPM construction manual or only a pie recipe?“
McKay: "Oh, this would be super interesting.......well except fort the pie recipe. But no, this isn’t it.“
Sheppard: „What is it all about then, Rodney?“
McKay: "It’s also logs, not about the Lantians but about the Wraith.“
Sheppard: "Oh brill the Wraith. But we already know all their ships.“
McKay: "Well yes the ships. But not the buildings.“
Sheppard: "Well, well, they also got buildings? Couldn’t you have said this straight away?“
McKay: "I could.“
Sheppard: "OK, show it to me, will you?“

Wraith Space-hangar
(Render, In-game, In-game)

Posted Image Posted Image

The Space-hangar is used to construct Heavy Fighters, Heavy Bombers and Experimental Darts. The jagged building is unarmed but therefore it's equipped with a quite heavy hull. Antennas with short-range sensors are attached to the exterior and there is a control center on the upper side. Located within are hangar bay and production facilities including organic-matter tanks used for spacefighter assembly.

Wraith Repairsatellite
(LowPoly-Render , In-game, In-game)
(Credits: Model: Wolf V.2 Texture: MerlinGalgotta)

Posted Image Posted Image

If a Wraith vessel is damaged, it can be refitted at the Repairsatellite. It's used to speed up the organic hulls regeneration as well as to repair all technical systems. Therefore the satellite is equipped with a huge blatter filled with dermal-liquid, which is spread onto the hull in order to heal organic damage. Some mechanical arms are repairing all the ships technical components simultaneously.

***Unexpected end of file***

At this point the latest news ended usually but today there is still one piece of news for you!
Some of you who are active in our forum may have tracked the development of a V 1.2 patch for the Empire at War Version which has been developed during the last weeks and moths by some of our fans.

At this point we would like to thank especially Felix „Baal" Messner for making it possible for us to happily provide you with the patch 1.2 simultaneously to these news. A changelog is enclosed to the Patch and is also located at the Moddb download description.

Please be aware of the fact that we won`t provide any support on this patch because we only had a supporting role on its development and also simply won't withdraw any personal from the Pegasus Chronicles development.

Another update from the SG mod team, showing two new wraith units.

From 10/31/10

McKay: "John, wait a moment! Can you spare me just a minute?“
Sheppard: "OK, but only a minute?
McKay: "Um well, I´ve been working the database trying to decrypt the Ancients old logs.“
Sheppard: "And what did you figure out about the latest logs? Will we be able to set eyes on this ominous ship finally?“
McKay: "No, this entry is well protected. Not even my granny could penetrate these codes.“
Sheppard: "Um, the minute is over. See ya, Rodney.“
McKay: "Hey, hey, wait a moment. There is still more to come, John.“
Sheppard: "What is it else, Rodney?“
McKay: "There are some Wraith ships we didnt knew about. However this has a little "side effect".“
Sheppard: "Oh, how interesting. And what could this be?“
McKay: "Unfortunately my latest attempt on the encryption seemed to be a bit too "aggressive". I was able to restore 2 of the 3 unit logs preserved, however the rest stored inside is beyond recall.“
Sheppard: "Great, simply great Rodney. At best you leave the database and stick to your other tasks.“
McKay: "All right, as if I didn't have enough to do.“
Sheppard: "As this is clarified, hand me the 2 logs. I'll have a look on the 3rd one later.“

Wraith Artillery Ship
(Render, In-game, In-game)

This ship is equipped with specialised Artillery weaponry to attack hostile vessels even from a great distance. Its shape is similar to a Devilfish. The organic hull isn't very durable, but able to regenerate any damage very quick. Also the Artillery ship is capable of dispatching a Scout squad to gain recon on a designated area in order to better track hostile targets from the distance.

Wraith Heavy Bomber
(Render, In-game, In-game)
(Credits: Model: Wolf V.2 Texture: MerlinGalgotta)

Posted ImagePosted Image

The Heavy Bombers are more powerful variants of their precursor including a different but similar shape. Its bomb- and its pay-load were increased as well as the armor was enforced. Also a Small Plasma Cannon is used to intercept fighters. These optimisations resulted in the Lantians strenghtened resistance against the earlier bomber. As of now the Heavy Bombers are capable of doing serious damage to other ships and their systems even if small in numbers.

Two updates so close together :p ....not that I'm complaining :)

This update has a little something for everyone, whether you're Tau'ri, Wraith, or Goa'uld :ermm:

From 11/18/10

Hello community,
welcome to our November news.
This time without Mckay and Sheppard although much content for all Tau'ri, Goa'uld and Wraith lovers among yourselves.
Thus: Something for (nearly) everyone. :D

We start with an unit completing the Tau'ris armory:
The Heavy Bomber or also HB-302.
(Render, In-game, In-game)
(Credits: Model& Texture: Wolf V.2)

Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted Image

The HB-302 is the Tau'ris new empowered Bomber version. Its shape is pointy and looks similar to the terrestrial stealth bombers. Also the HB-302 is of bigger size than the B-302 and is capable of loading much more rockets and bombs. Those are enforced with Naquadah and afflict much more damage to hostile shields and hull armor than their precursors. However the HB-302 is much less maneuverable compared to the B-302 due to its high payload.

Another one is the Experimental Ha'tak which had been designed originally as the Goa'uld artillery unit but was replaced later by the Apophis Prototype Ha'tak due to its exotic design. However we liked the design too much to dump it, so this Ha'tak version will appear in our mod as a Experimental Ha'tak.
(Render, In-game, In-game)
(Credits: Model& Texture: MerlinGalgotta)

Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted Image

This specialized Ha'tak is capable of attacking hostiles from a great distance due to its 3 powerful Artillery Cannons mounted on the outer rims edges. The new weaponry contains Ion projectiles which are used to drain hostile shields and incapacitate the enemy temporary. Also the Experimental Hat'taks shields as well as its engines have been improved significantly.

Last but not least we're proud to present you the Wraith Experimental Dart.
(Render, In-game, In-game)
(Credits: Model: Wolf V.2 Texture: MerlinGalgotta)

Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted Image

After several losses against the Lantians the Wraith developed a new kind of fighter with special features and special weapons. Equipped with double-barreled Plasma Guns, some small bombs and an Ion Cannon the jagged shaped Experimental Dart poses a serious threat. Also the hull is coated with a new resistant composite material.

Please keep up your great support for us on the MOTY-award and continue to vote!

And no, these news aren't the announced "big thing". :sad2:

Until the next month

Another update from the SGMG, this update is more of a look back at how far the mod has come and progressed over the years. However, there are a few screens from the newest upcoming release.

From 12/02/10

Greetings beloved community, we welcome you today to an early news at the months beginning, posing the first part in a row of news we will release during the coming days.

The release of these news so short after the start of the "Mod of the Year"s second stage truly is no coincidence, rather quite the opposite. These news are served as a MOTY-special. Simultaneously this MOTY-special poses the announced "Big thing".

Let'start with a timeline special, allowing those among you who haven't followed our project right from the start to reproduce our development. With this in mind we salvaged the install routines of different "old" versions from the shallows of our data pit to summarize scenes from these to a timeline video which we are proud to present to you right now.

Timeline Video (English Version)

In addition we captured some old versions' screens for you. To make an easier comparison on the differences from then to now we insisted on combining these screens with screens from the latest internal version of "The Pegasus Chronicles", showing pretty much the same as the old versions screen does.

On the left hand you will find the old versions screenshot fading into the "The Pegasus Chronicles" screen.

Comparison Splash Images
Posted Image

Comparison Beta 1 - Pegasus Chronicles
Posted Image Posted Image

Comparison Final 0.7 - Pegasus Chronicles
Posted Image Posted Image

Comparison Final 1.0 - Pegasus Chronicles
Posted Image Posted Image

Maybe one or two suddenly felt like reenact this journey from Beta 1 to Final 1.2 by themselves?
Everything you need for this trip you will find in our download section. Also you will see we initially uploaded the Beta 1 for Empire at War the first time with a marginally delay of four years.

With that said the "Timeline-Special" will come to an end, however we still got something new for you.

Today we want to present the "Satellite Build Pad" to you, which you may have discovered already on the one or antother screen.

Posted Image Posted Image

The buildpad is used to construct satellite-based space structures. During battle some areas are colored in the respective players color. Beyond that the faction symbols are furnished with the Stargate's water shader, thus they are animated! After conquering it is capable of builing Defensive- as well as Offensive-satellites. Faction depending this poses an anti-fighter- and anti-capital-platform as well as an additional special building.

Therewith the December News conclude.
Have a good eye on our moddb site since there may be some news every day.

See you next time,
yours SGMG

Hello everyone, I apologize for my absence as of late but I'm back again to bring you more modding news. Although it has been somewhat quieter of late in terms of news here is some March news for Stargate: Pegasus Chronicles. This is a particularly nice update giving us a glimpse/overall look of how the three factions' (Tau'ri, Goa'uld, and Wraith) space fleets look.

Hello community,

as we were not able to publish a February news due to some technical and private difficulties, you can finally look forward to the March news.

First of all, we have a brand new space building for you, the Tau'ri shield satellite. It is a defensive building, which can protect smaller ships with its huge shield.

Now, just to get you up-to-date, we show you again some actual render with all ships of the three playable factions. Have fun with the fleet renders.
