Take a look at the scripts for the Wolf Lords' voices. To provide variety, I'm mixing up the accents - a combination of Russian, Scottish, Dutch - almost anywhere northern and European.

Neat, but please...no fake accents, im having nightmares of them since Tales of the Past trilogy, i mean, Space Wolves are Space Marines, not WilliamWallaces or Hackapells (well, maybe little).

Some crits

transform to wulfen - I, I, I've been away too long…I…howwwlll!

I'd change this to:

I've been away for too long *grawhaha*!

Also personally I'd have Wulfen as a special end tier unit which you need a relic to get, they'd be like Possessed Marines Mk2.

Iron Priest-

Repair- Listen laddy, I know a lot more about putting this back together.

Servo Harness-

Repair- Lad, your problem is as good as fixed, but I still maintain my point.

Blood Claw-

Jump- Hah, I'm not too rusty!

Logan Grimnar-

"For Russ and the Allfather!" instead of just "For Leman Russ!"

Ragnar is ok as he is, he's a feral barbarian :xd: Or if you wanted make him sound like a Conan guy.

I kind of think of them as Scottish berserkers, with a big sense of honor code and a lot of Nordic thrown in for their culture. Russia= more Valhallan IG and stuff.. Blood Claws are more like determined initiates wanting to prove themselves so I thought make them sound like they're eager to jump into battle, rather than "I think this is how it works" makes them sound like they have no idea and could just crash and burn.

They are!

Hadn't thought of Iron Priest as Scotty from Star Trek - interesting.

Nice.

Ragnar is ok as he is, he's a feral barbarian :omg: Or if you wanted make him sound like a Conan guy.

We need variety - so I'm probably going to borrow from a range of Northern accents - if everyone is Scottish they're going to sound very samey.

Blood Claws are more like determined initiates wanting to prove themselves so I thought make them sound like they're eager to jump into battle, rather than "I think this is how it works" makes them sound like they have no idea and could just crash and burn.

I'm trying to convey the idea that they are reluctant to use them. Trust me - with the correct sardonic intonation these lines will work.

Thanks for the ideas and feedback - much appreciated!

Like -"Dont you think i know how this works" and "i may be Blood Claw, but if you mess with me...well, too bad!"?

Heya, if I can have a look at the build (get a feel for the "personality", tactical feel of units), I can whip up some proper voice scripts for you guys

I've also written some voice scripts for TSons, Harlequins, and Dark Angels,

Thanks Goldenhorde - the scripts are actually written though - they're here for you to look at somewhere... But more ideas are always welcome!

Does the spotting have to be tier 1 infantry?

Yes.. logically it does because who else are the first to see the enemy? Of course it could be Scouts too but generally it are squads who go out capping points in the outer perimeters of the map that meet up first with the enemy. Look at the spotting voices for the vanilla - for SM its the Tier1 Marines. For Eldar its the Guardians. For Orks its the Sluggas.

the underlying flaw in our beloved wolves is that the scouts are not recruits and are superior to normal gray hunters so what do we use as a basic start unit? im thinking ideas like an armed servitor or even some of the men who work for the chapter that are not marines? you know the crew of the ships etc

Either Wolf Scouts or Grey Hunters would be sufficient. For 13h Company we would use Grey Slayers as 13th do not get Scouts (among other things due to the harshness inside the Eye of Terror.. hunting for Thousand Sons members takes its toll). :p

Actually was planning on having either Grimnar or Ragnar say it - depending on branch (can it be made branch specific?). If not then yes - it's scouts time. Wolf Scouts are still our starting unit - they are still Scouts after all - veteran yes, but they can hardly be the last on the field can they?

well - one wolf scout is equal to 2-4 vanilla - good enough for you?

Tier 1 they are ok - but once tooled up in later tiers they can become a serious problem for the enemy. An infiltrating wolf scout with a melta bomb, frag grenades and a missile launcher, who lays traps wherever he goes, is no-one's idea of fun. Well, except Grimnar's :p

Oh and then they turn into Wulfen and eat you. Life sucks.

Was there ever a unit that scaled so well?

hmm, I always pictured some sort of wolf fitted out with cybernetic implants doing the scouting. can't wait to see the mod : )

though if the Wolf Scout is available at start, might I suggest that they are a squad of one until a later upgrade allows them to fill out a full squad?

Thunderhawk:

Ready:
"Can I take your order?"

What:
"Go ahead, HQ."
"I'm listening."
"Destination?"
"Input coorinates."
"When removing your overhead luggage, please be careful.
"In case of water landing, you may be used as a flotation device."
"To hurl chunks, please use the vomit bag in front of you."
"Keep your arms and legs inside until this ride comes to a full and complete
stop."

Action:
"In the pipe, five by five."
"Hand on, we're in for some chop."
"In transit, HQ."
"Buckle up!"
"Strap yourselves in boys!"
"I copy that."
