yeah, I see NO reason to call it anything else than what it is... I mean, you have RJ mod, you have SEE, for Special Extended Edition... What's bad about calling it CoPro? It's more catchy than anything you're going to come up with
Besides, having two names for it is like calling you mod both "Rad's mod" and "Lone Wolf" at the same time.... (taking you Rad as example )

I think the name "Community Project" refers to the project(s) which can cover multiple mods... The actual historical mod itself needs a name, though.
How about "Battle for Earth"

We may want to do another mod after this one.
Though with the way the project is going we might not because of time.

1) usually the term denotes the entire period between the fall of Rome and the "Renaissance"; similar to the term "Middle Ages" (adjective form medieval).
2) the term is often restricted to periods within the Middle Ages, namely the Early Middle Ages and the Great Migrations.

Battle for Earth ->
Strokes of history -> Sounds like a show on the history channel, too serious
Dark Age(s) -> Sounds a bit generic, and someone who hears that name would expect to see only the "knights" faction.
Ok, I'll make my suggestion um, what about... "Epic of ages"?
