In line with the research topics we'll need some concept art.
Concept Art can either be hand drawn or reference pictures from the interwebs.
To start off with there are 2 simple assignments
Assignment 1a:Viking Concepts -
Assignment 1b:Greek Concepts - These will be bronze age Greeks.

concerning concept art for the viking faction:
I've posted some links to Viking Reenactment sites (incl. shortcuts directly to photo galleries) with lots of images useful for different purposes in relation to 2D art - could be handy for modeling, texturing etc., too
