If you've ever been around The 3rd Age, you must be familiar with the concept of the Team Chamber. For those who aren't, the Team Chamber is the staff forum for T3A, but it's not only accessible to staff. Some selected members of the T3A Community have access to it too (read and post). They're called Team Chamber members and they offer ideas and suggestions, as well as having influence in the decisions that the staff make.

We're now introducing a similar concept here at Revora, and we're calling it the Advisors group. People who are in this group can read and post in the Revora Command Center, our own staff forum. We're hoping to get their input in making the decisions that are the best for the network.

How can I get in?
We invite you, and it should be an honour to get in. The Advisor rank is meant for those members who have shown commitment to Revora and it's community. This means that the only way to get in is to simply contribute as much to our network as you can. It also means that if we select you, this should be a great recognitition of your services.
So, everybody, put your best foot forward and you might get selected for our Inner Circle.

(On a side note, I still can't access the command centre for this magazine thing...)

Interesting.

And by recognition of commitment, can't you give us some examples?I'm not leader of Contra or a major mod leader,so...

Maybe at PPM but that's a different discussion :good:

Tbh, you don't need a group for this..

After all, isn't this meant to be a community? Surely a simple thread asking the community what they want in Revora will do?

Actually, you have valid points, in theory. This method has proven to work very well in reality though, over at T3A, so we're trying it here.

We're still going to keep the feedback forum, of course, where everybody is welcome to discuss anything with us :good:

Just think of it as "Revora's Inner Circle".
A group of respected and mature Revorians who are picked to help steer the boat without committing themselves to a specific role, or who are candidates to be picked for a staff role later :good:

Interesting... very interesting indeed. There aren't enough staff positions for every mature member of Revora, so I think this is a good decision.

EDIT: Seeing who the advisors were... well, you've chosen very well.

Do you mean Blodo and Matias? Well, they've had access to the RCC for quite some time, even before we thought of this.

I think it's very important that we choose members who are dedicated and are familiar or active on most of the community sections. How many Advisors do you think we need? I think two to three is reasonable, maybe each one can be familliar with a few different sections.

Well, the "advisors" rank we had at some point in the past is wholly different from this one.

Advisors don't have moderator status? :(

You should start a lobby at the Revora Capitol: Make Matias a Moderator!

Kind of... catchy. :p

No, advisors are just that. Staff has moderating powers, because they need them.

But all I did when I was faux-hosted was move topics and delete double posts. I haven't given any advice in forever. Can't I get my old thing back? I'm not interested in advising, the RCC mostly annoys me and I wasn't invited for this rank anyway.

Sure, if that is your wish.
