Is anyone interested in playing the original starcraft online? :good: I totally fail at it, so I wouldn't mind getting better before the new one comes out.

Ooo lovely, I'll try and get my SC up, although it says my key is being used somewhere else (curses at illegal users), I'll see what I can do, if not, I'll buy a new one, it's only £5 or something like that...I hope lol :good:

It's $15... Idk about £. And I don't care :good:

I really suck at the original, so maybe we can play sometime. :xcahik_: I can't really play online because even the games labeled "noob" are too tough for me. On this note, I can't wait for SC2's casual league. It's supposed to have normal game speeds and anti-rushing maps. Sounds like a great idea.

Though, I'm pretty used to playing on fastest anyway.

On other game forums, we usually get some forum games going while we're waiting for the release... Count to infinity, anyone? ;)

:good: yeah. I just bought the $15 digital copy from the blizzard store... didn't bother looking around much.

Whatever, I don't buy much stuff so it's not really a big deal to pay a little extra for me.

But more on topic, wanna play a game sometime anyone? BW, preferably. We could set up a larger game with more than two players, maybe 2v2 or something, but that would take a little more coordination and planning... And there are less times everyone's available.

lol... I played the N64 version too! While there is no cinematic scenes, you can select 18 units at a time in that version (compare this to the lousy 12 in the computer version). :p

Yeah, I would play the PC version more if you could select more units.

Pssh. Try Warcraft 1 if you think 12 units is bad. You can only select 4 at a time and you can't set ctrl groups, so you have to select them every time... :p

Anyone still up for this?

What about an SC1 tournament, if we can get enough players? Just a little tournament for fun, no pressure, I don't think we have any real hardcore starcraft players around, so.

I might join next week, once I have my paper written and StarCraft reinstalled. I'm an absolute n00b though, I bought it a few months ago and only played the first few missions :good:

Yeah, same here. Well, I got it last summer and did finish the campaign, but I'm not very good.

It would be cool to give away an sc2 beta key as a prize, if I had one to give away.

I've finished the Terran campaign now and played the first mission of the Zerg and Protoss campaigns (I couldn't wait to understand the Protoss play style :D). I'm quite impressed actually. Even though the game is over a decade old and has awful graphics (and pathfinding!!), it's a lot more fun than many of the current all-graphics-no-content games. Finally I understand why StarCraft is considered such a classic...

I'll definitely be up for a game among us IF-ers once I've finished the the whole campaign.
