"A long time ago in a galaxt far far away....."
100-50 million years ago - A human species evolves on a planet later names Celestis. Over time some of the people begin to believe in science, and research everything, developing powerful technology. While another fundentalist sect of the same people develop heavy religious views.

50-10 million years ago - Time past and a split between the people formed with the ones who favor science being called "The Alterans" and the ones favouring religion being called "The Ori". To stem off a cival war The Alterans gathered together all of there knowledge and technology and build a large intergalactic spaceship. They decided to leave there home galaxy in search of a safe heaven they could continue there studies into the universe.

10 - 5 million years ago - The Alterans wandered from galaxy to galaxy trying to distance themselves from The Ori. They developed new and more powerful technology, including a new trasportation system called the Stargate. Eventually they happened upon a small group of galaxies. With a planet capable of sustaining life. They named there new home Dakara and began exploding, seeding the habitable planets with stargates. Eventually they found a blue planet, Earth, and settled on one of the continents, modern day Antartica.
From here the galaxy was there oyster. The Alterans studied and explored for thousands of years. They encountered other societies, The Furlings, The Nox a peaceful race, whos technology rivals there own.
One day they encountered a plague. Something that they themselves couldn't cure. There best scientists tried to create a time machine to send some people back to warn ofthe danger, but it proved in vein. In the end, to save the galaxy they washed away all life in it. The Alterans, now called "The Ancients" used a weapon an dakara to dial all the Stargates in the galaxy and reduce everything to base elements. But with a database containing details on all the creature that once lived, across all the worlds they re-seeded life restoring it to its former glory.

5 million - 100 000 years ago - At the hight of there power they Ancients being there most ambitious project ever. They create ships capable of auto-piloting intergalactically, search out planets, gain data, and seed stargates. Once this was done they then sent people to these areas to explore as they once did in the milky way galaxy. The last ship "The Destiny" was the last of the ships to be launched. And was designed to follow the other ships footpaths, but it had one big difference. It was designed to be dialed into by the stargate. Allowing it to travel millions of billions of light years away but still be accessable.
One of the galaxies touched by Destiny was the Ida galaxy, home of The Asgard, another ally of the Ancients.
Unforutnaly The Destiny is never reached by The Ancients after they seed the Pegasus with stargates. The plan now seen to be to ambitious, to risky, it is thrown away and the ship falls into deraliction.

100 -10 thousand years ago - The ancients settle across both the milky way and pegasus galaxies, making a name forthemsleves as they slowly reach a higher state of evolution.

A ZPM harnesses an almost limitless amount of vacuume energy.

The great city of Atlantis sets off to establish a safe heaven in a new galaxy, Pegasus.

After millions of years of domination of the Milky Way the Alterans civilisation begain to stagnate, and it slowly fell into decline. The Milky Way Alterans decide toleave for the Pegasus galaxy, through the stargate, leaving there shattered civilaisation behind.
As time past new technologies in Pegasus we developed, like drone weapons ,which replaced the out dated plasma weapons on most lantian ships as there form of defence.

100 – 10 thousand years ago – After the exploration of the Pagasus galaxy the Ancients, now called “The Lantians” discover a new foe. Someone almost as powerful as themselves. And not having fought a war any time recently they were cought off guard. They were over comfident in there technology and failed to see The Wraith as a threat until it was to late.
The Iratus bug was what spawned the wraith. Over thousands of years of feeding on humans and Ancients, they evolved, absorbed some of there DNA and became human like. But they were far from human, they have the ability to litterally absorb the life of someone, making them a very formidable opponent. The Wraith slowly decimated The Lantian fleet wiping out all who opposed them, The Hiperferalcus (named after a lantian general) was crypled and had to land for repairs. While out of comision the base was abandoned. Another lantian ship took heavy damage against a wraith hive, but managed to escpae. It weas discovered that the hyperdrive was leaking radiation so it was abandoned.
By this time a vast majority of the habitable planets had been taken by the Wraith. One of the few that were holding out was the Dorandan people. The Lantians on the planet were conducint experiments called “Project Arcturus“. What they were trying to do was siphon vacuum energy from our space time (instead of a micro-universe for a Z.P.M.), and then use that power to energise a weapon to try to defeat the Wraith. Unfortuantly this mission was a total failure. The weapon worked at first, it devistated a huge Wraith fleet in orbit, but the core went critical. The Lantians managed to shut it all down but not before the radiation leaked and killed them all.
About this time the hundred year seige began. Atlantis was submerged so that the water entenuates the wriath energy weapons. The Aurora, a lantian warship, had a top secret mission. Go to the outer rin of the galaxy and get a comunication from an outpost. They arived, received the communication, detailing a weekness in wraith technology, but as they were escaping they were attacked and almost destroyed by Wraith Cruisers.

While this is happening in Pegasus, in The Milky Way galaxy a new threat is emerging. The Goa'uld. A snake like creature, they burrow into your neck and take over your mind. Taking Unas as there first hoast they find the Stargate network and explore. Trading bodies and absorbing teechnology as they go they find a large amount of ancient ruins and begin work on making ships. After a while the Goa'uld are in trouble, with no simple way to reer there young they are dieing out.

12 000 years ago - Milky Way - Only a small hand full of Goa'uld remain when there leader, Ra, discovers Earth. On Earth it finds humans, left behind by the Ancients, he takes a young boy as a host. He enslaves all the other humans and disperses them around his domain. Making some his slaves, making others warriors called Jaffa. In the Jaffa he places larval Goa'uld. Ra tell the people of the gods, and there rolls, giving birth to one of the earliest religions.
The furlings that live in the Milky Way create a sanctuary that they plan to leave to, they hand out invitations to anyone willing to take one, but the Goa'uld are not invited. In return the Goa'uld eventually infultrate and destory the settlement.

10 000 years ago - Pegasus - Deciding enough is enough the Lantians were forced to abandon The Pegasus galaxy. Returning through the Stargate back to Earth they disperce around the globe, and ascend, interbreed with the local or die out.

10 000 BC – 1900's – A rebelion on Earth forces Ra to abandon it. With his slaves free they bury the gate. The gate stay hidden until 1928 when Professor Langford discoveres it. It is returned to America at the outbreak of world war two on a ship called the achilies where, after further study in 1945 it was activated and Dr. Earnest Littlefield sets through the event horizon using a diving suit. The gate disconects leaving him there. In 1969 SG1 travels back in time and activates the gate, sparking Catherine Langford's (daughter of Professor Langford) interest in the gate.

1996-7 – With the help of Dr Jackson the stargate is once again opened to Abydos, and a maned expedition goes through. They discover Ra and eventually, with a struggle against some of his personal guard, kill him. Leaving Dr. Jackson behind.
