I remember some stuff from some leaked build which contained besides KWE EC material, I can´t say much about buildings (in the worst case KWE can use some vanilla) since there was just few of them but the units looked quite finished (fe Lucius the Eternal was fantastic). Besides theres already quite a lot of mods in progress which needs some attention first. Just give him more time, I´m sure he will come out with some stuff sooner or later (+ probably Thud can ask him anytime for some material).

I'm not even counting Warsmiths' utterly insane Black Legion (Dark Prophecy) mod which is 1.4+ Gb of mostly amazing Chaos stuff the whole community should witness to. I would even argue we have wayyy too much WE assets to play with. In fact, all Chaos Marks and chapters have more than enough done now thanks to Warsmith.

Checked his latest build primarily because Nids (was curious about what happened with Andreis Unnamed Tyranid project) but Chaos legions looked really damn impressive (and I´m excluding his amazing buildings), Theres a lot of material to work with and I doubt theres nothing more waiting in next builds.

Boychaos work is fantastic, shame that most of his models are more focused on apocalyptic than vanilla gameplay (hope that I´m wrong about it and we could somehow utilize them as well).

Well he does stuff no one will do due to complexity and I quite like that. Harridan alone would be <gushes out thine entrails>.. I think he largely stays away from the usual bipeds/vehicles as they are not challenging enough. There is simply too many amazing War40k units to do so where to prioritize really?

It´s hard to compare his specialized work with the rest being more focused on less complex models and more on quantity. I have no doubt that stuff he modeled is really hard to model requiring great talent to have but it´s kind of overkill for me because I consider DoW being terrible base game to have truly apocalyptic stuff working properly(none of Titan adding mods changed my opinion about this). For me his models are like a demonstration how really good modeler/animator he is like: Yeah you´ve managed to model this beast so well, I can´t wait to see it going on a f*cking rampage. But at the end of a day, the more apocalyptic stuff it is, the less interest I have about it.

So you don't want ever to see impossible War40k units in-game? I do. I want to see all the Titans made even if they are boring as FCUK because THATS EPIC War40k.. try going into a TT game where you have players with EPIC stuff and see how fast your a*s is handed to you and rotated on a hemlock-lathered dagger. :> Big Units have their time and place and they are needed because they are still cool. Not that I'll ever get my Imperial Apocalypse Titan (one of the greatest and mysterious of all War40k units) or a proper Necron Abattoir (Dear Lord) but doing units people can't do is what we need more of. Let people do the easier stuff as, yes its needed, but so are the real big stuff.

So what do you want modeled then? Creed? :thumbsuphappy:

:D It´s not that I don´t want to see them (nothing beats curiosity especially when it shows something good), it´s just that DoW engine can´t handle them properly. Excluding the scale, stuff like Titan walking around the trees etc. It just doesn´t have the feel of being powerful unit and belonging into a game. It´s hard to describe but lets say if you have a chance to see or even try Supreme Commander (SC:FA) getting few Aeon Galactic Colossus units (or Cybran MonkeyLord) and sending them on rampage destroying everything in their path causing absolute total mayhem, you know the feel how it´s good to have such destructive power in your hands. And since they are working like Titans should (hell theres even great mod called Total Mayhem adding more extreme stuff and working perfectly), you kind of expect same feel with DoW Titan like mods, and this is were you get extremely disappointed. I don´t blame anyone for trying to make Titans work in DoW, a lot of people seems satisfied with it and like it, but for me it´s just not what it should be. This is why I prefer focusing on vanilla gameplay where DoW excels instead of trying to make something work what doesn´t. But it´s just my opinion on this matter.

Creed is supercool person, I wouldn´t mind having modeled one with some good looking cigar and some interesting animations explaining how the hell he can hide the Baneblade :D . But seriously I´m curious about anything cool especially when you can/can´t imagine the work behind it.

DoW2 can't either.. in fact its even worse as it can't handle massive battles let along huge Tyranid swarms.

I don't see why DoW1 Titans or Epic Units could not do more damage but remember: game limitations. This isn't Supreme Commander, bro. Game engines can only do so much.

Well adding Titans to DoW2 would be just ultimate mockery of that game :D

I don´t think it´s matter of damage output but yeah game limitations. SupCom is practically based around units like these (in terms of scales, visuals, balance, gameplay etc) so it should work well, in DoW it´s a bonus, bit gimmicky but successful at some degree like teching beyond T4.

@Fuggles - those are small time units to model ;) Anyway, taking requests goes on deaf ears unless those stakeholders actually have the will and time to do it.
