The
Phoenix Rising Team is looking for a talented texture artist to help create some custom planets for us. In this capacity, you will be painting tiling maps for surface diffuse, city lights, normals, and specularity, as well as the occasional cloud texture. If you're able to bring it all together in 3ds Max - which consists of throwing materials on a sphere and exporting it - to streamline the process, it will be an added bonus, but not a requirement; the texturing is key. This is a team position, but one that will require merely several dozen planet textures per release, so the workload will be relatively light once you've caught up.
Requirements- Proficiency with image editing software such as Photoshop or Paint.NET.
- Ability to create unique textures of planet surfaces based on references and/or descriptions.
Bonuses- Access to 3ds Max 8 SP3 (specifically required by the exporter) to assemble planet models.
