Hey all. If anyone here follows the harlequin forum... they'll have seen me posting about how im creating whole new soundtracks for the mod. Thudo has offered for me to take this role here aslwell, and so Im asking for a bit of brainstorming before I go into production. Any ideas are welcome, and at the end of the day, when I have enough ideas- I intend on releasing samples of each here, with a poll, so you can vote for the ones you want in the mod! Look forward to hearing from you-

- Maybe some organs
- Steampunk-like
- Some Gregorian chanting in the background..

Dark Angels are robe wearers so I see a Druid-like theme going so definitely mix some religious overtones with the electronica.

That'd be because Thud is the only member of the team still active, from the looks of it. :(

I'll second Thuds ideas as that's pretty much it.

But I'll also add that if you've listened to Sign of the Cross by Iron Maiden the intro on that track I think would be the perfect sample to use, but obviously it can't be used as it's copyrighted.

Ok ill look the track up- and see if i cant create something rather similar which doesnt breach copyright xD

Just a quick suggestion. I have no idea of your skill and experience but try listening to Mike Oldfield's Let There Be Light and Crystal Clear for a bit of inspiration. They're both spacey and moody, though you probably need to give them a minute or so to kick in. Neither are amazing tunes but you can shut your eyes you can kinda picture a few Dark Angels throwing a base together with it. As for an actual theme tune, they qualify less admirably for that, but if I can think of anything I'll let you know.

Hate to say it ogi, but that doesnt quite fit . I think currently were looking at a kinda quiet menu/ peace theme with organs and chanting. When you go into combat, it all gets a lot more dramatatic and louder

hey all. Ive seen what i could do... attached is an mp3 of my first samply. Quality will be better on final version. CNC welcome if you dont like it, say so... (remember that this is for peace, when your in combat, the tune with be more powerful)

I'd like to include some Dark Angel menu music so yeah anything would be great! Already have for Harlequins in the next build.
