For now, I can tell you that we decided to include one more major feature in v1.2 that wasn't planned for and the release will probably now be around late spring or early summer. It will not disappoint. There are many big announcements yet to be made, so stay tuned.

Yeah, sorry for the lack of updates recently... I've been under the weather and haven't been able to wrap my head around a post (whatever I have makes it hard to think straight). I'll have something to report as soon as I'm able.

WOW! sorry your sick... get better fast, just so u can enjoy some nice days then u can get back to working on the MOD lol just joking about the 'back to work' thingie.
Only one real question i have.... did anyone figure out why Phoenix Rising has so much darn LAG to it and did someone manage to remove lots of the lag. I do always run high end gaming machines but even i get lag with PR.
Sorry if i brought up a sore and nagging question.
Can't wait for you all to release version 1.2 this year

Yeah, Homeworld 2 is pretty amazing.I must guiltily confess I lost interest in Phoenix Rising ever since I got Homeworld 2 and the Star Wars Warlords mod...
*cough*
And even that I got bored of...but it shocked me that a game from 2004 has a ten times better engine than Empire at War.
I myself go on binge-streaks of one or two games for like two months, and then move on to another game for the next couple months. Right now it's Modern Warfare 2. Up next I'm thinking probably Medieval 2: Total War. Even so, when v1.2 comes out, PR heads straight up to the top of the list.
EDIT: I finally got to post, YAY! Third time's a charm, apparently.

Yeah, I'm not happy with our release schedule myself. 15 months and counting is ridiculous, but we have to make due with the team we have. If we could just fill a couple key positions, I think we'd be able to put out more focused releases every 3-4 months. It's not like we haven't been working the whole time; it's that you accumulate all these loose ends during development (which I would mostly attribute to the number of hats I wear on the team) that have to be cleaned up for a release.I must guiltily confess I lost interest in Phoenix Rising ever since I got Homeworld 2 and the Star Wars Warlords mod...
Thanks for the well wishes. I'm not usually sick... but that's kind of a moot point. I've still been working on the mod, just the mindless aspects. I can do rigging, coding, and strings in my sleep.WOW! sorry your sick... get better fast, just so u can enjoy some nice days then u can get back to working on the MOD lol just joking about the 'back to work' thingie.

Ghost has done a nice job of bringing down both, so we'll see how that works for people. Some seem to lag no matter what. It's the massive numbers of units coupled with so many planets.
