But in order to begin you have to start somewhere. I'm putting together a site right now that will be a database for all things M3000. For starters I will build a content management system that will allow the admin (me) to add new planet records and new races and such.

I just started the new coding today so it will build slowly as time allows. I'm going to be starting a number of topics that will help me define a lot of things.

I'm in no rush and hopefully in a few months it will be complete enough to really start adding things. The infrastructure on the site will be the most time consuming to start with school and life and such.

But it will grow exponentually because I already have a lot of the stuff done, just the site isn't ready yet. I'd like to make it in-depth enough that maybe modders might dig it enough to use the source material.

Will you make it more of a static database in the sense that you yourself just add and edit entries and people will be able to see the result, or do you opt for dynamic user interaction?

I'd prefer to do the database entries myself through my own content management admin panel. I'd like to use the forums for ideas than do the entries but I'm going to have user submitted places here so I can draw upon the randomness of other peoples ideas.
