I was wondering if any of you would like to have a Starcaft II tournament at some point. Probably after the game is released, sometime in august perhaps.

Anyways, I'm willing to organize it. I was hoping for a swiss-style tournament, which doesn't have eliminations but you get to play several matches and whoever does the best wins. It won't require a specific number of players, but works best with an even number.

Thanks for the notice, I'll start a list of possible entries, and confirm before the tourney, once we have enough people who are ready and the game has been released and whatnot.

Oh, and probably what I'll do, is play or not play depending on if we have an odd or even number of players. So if we have an odd number of players, I'll jump in to make it run better, but if it's even I'll just watch and organize (and cast replays?)

Hey guys, I keep meaning to mention this but forgetting. We are probably not all playing on the same server, so the tournament may have to be delayed until Blizzard implements cross-realm play (which I expect is coming in a later patch after release.)

Nah, official signups won't start until we know when we will do it. Which could be a while. But those who posted in this topic I will PM when the time comes.

Spread the word, though, so when the time comes we will have plenty of people.

Also, just for reference, which servers do you guys play on? I'm on North America.l

North America, Europe and Asia, I believe. It automatically assigns you based on your battle.net account. Austrailia can't get one of their own because of legal issues, I think, and they are using the Asia server.

I'm not sure how to check which server you're on... I'd assume I'm on North America.
