Hey all!

In addition to adding multiple renders of units such as the Jedi Plo Koon, animation shots of General Grievous, and our new Clone Trooper, we've been hard at work making our new forums look and feel like a good Star Wars forum should. Also, check out our Mod DB page here for lots more renders, videos, and screenshots!

Furthermore, we'd like to show you a render of the LAAT/i Gunship, which can be built by the Republic.

"The LAAT/i was a repulsorlift infantry transport capable of carrying up to thirty troopers. Secondary functions included reconnaissance, direct fire support, search-and-recovery, and low-altitude air-to-ground and air-to-air strikes against vehicles ranging from airspeeders to starfighters.

In addition to its trooper complement, housed on a deckplate protected by drooping wings and a sliding side door, the LAAT/i could carry four military speeder bikes in an aft-deployable rack. The crew complement comprised a clone trooper pilot and co-pilot/forward gunner in the hunchbacked cockpit, and two auxiliary gunners stationed in pinpoint composite-beam turrets extending on articulated arms from the troop cabin. An IM-6 Medical Droid was commonly carried aboard in an emergency locker. In the event of emergencies, the cockpit capsule could separate from the main craft to act as an escape pod."

Did you test the forum skin using IPB 3? Because Bart was clear the old skins will be broken once they do the forum upgrade in the near future. I'd hate to see hard work go to waste.

Oh wow.... there's no way even the official SW games could do better than that.

Props on a job magnificently done! :)

With these guys' skills, in combination with the outstanding SC2 engine, there's no way an official SW game can compare.

Thanks to all for the comments! :) I, for one, can't wait for SC II to come out so we can start getting stuff ingame.

Indeed. It will be extremely cool.

Also, I'm contemplating a way to do deflection with lightsabers... I think it could work really well for the Jedi. It would be like a melee version of the point defense drone. But would it use energy or a short recharge or both? Actually, I could run up a test with a zealot and a stalker.

Interesting idea! I think either using energy or a short recharge are both good ideas. Let us know how it turns out :)

It's rather challenging, considering I'm not very comfortable modding SC2. I'd say this will probably be the toughest challenge as far as unit design goes. Overall, the heroes will need a lot more work than other units, I'd guess, but particularly this ability.

Most the units would probably be fairly easy to do.
