Notes: Unlike most regiments where the Vox operater is a comparatively new soldier, the Catachan regiments must use (by dint of the horrors infesting their world) seasoned troops, used to keeping calm and in control in stressful situations. They are typical of Catachan soldiers being gruff with deep voices. Any lines with (Radio transmission) after them should be spoken into a radio for recording, giving the impression that the Vox operator is actually using the Vox.

Must sound very haughty and aloft from his peers, he is driving a massive tank of doom, and is cocky and powerful at the same time.

Introductory Notes on the Catachans
Catachan warriors come from a jungle deathworld called Catachan, where life is inimical is every way, from predators larger than battle tanks to deadly poxes and viruses. Only half
the population reaches 10 and half of that reaches adulthood. Lacking minerals and other valuable resources, Catachan has only 1 thing to offer the Imperium: its superb
regiments of jungle fighters, who by default are considered Deathworld Veterans, adept at guerrilla warfare and ambush, boasting expert marksmen and close quarters combatants
whose recklessness borders on the insane. Visually, Catachan forces are made of brawny and scarred individuals wearing light combat fatigues, with characteristic bandannas

extended periods of time in the “bush” and forewent the standard issue equipment, adapting their kits to better suit their operational theater).

To voice actors
The following dialogue lines are based on source material (codices) and “official” fluff pieces, with some clear references to specific Catachan equipment and/or famous
characters and forces, as well as native dangerous fauna/flora.
What I imagine Catachans sound like is a mixture between Caucasian US southern/centre States (Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, etc.) accents, African-American
and Hispanic “speech”/accents.

Remember that Catachans are known for their “healthy bravado”, gung-ho attitudes and recklessness on the battlefield, since they’re no strangers to danger, hardship and death
from birth. Try to deliver the lines with a sense of either “strong, silent type, man-of-few words, focused on the task at hand” or “not exactly happy about it, but conformed
with my reality (war), so I sound kind of joyful and laid-back”. Here’s a quote from the 1996 Codex: “Discipline is maintained through trust and respect rather than by rank
and Deathworld Veterans take pride in the fact that their officers share with them every danger and hardship”. This does not mean there is absolutely no “siryessir” talk
(in other words ‘formal’ military respect), but think “big brotherhood of warm-hearted men” and “boys’ night out”. Good source movies are “Full Metal Jacket”, “Platoon”,
“Apocalypse Now”, “We Were Soldiers” and other Vietnam War films.

Basic Outline of Catachan Jungle Fighters
- Tons of mortar
- Tons of flamers
- Tons of sentinels
- No heavy tanks (maybe as Tier4 uber)
- Valkyries are fine.
