Hey guys I'm back! I can't wait for the new release!
To be on topic, I got a graphics card upgrade and a RAM upgrade a bit ago, and I tried loading an old save from Thrawn Campaign as the Empire and it still runs super slow. I'm tempted to try to overclock my CPU from 2.40 Ghz to between 2.6 and 2.8 but I don't know if it will make any difference.
Any ideas?

It probably won't. Due to a ton of things, the campaigns are just really slow for lots of systems, even ones that are pretty high end. The new release should make it significantly better though, as I understand it.
I tried to incease the population values for certain units so the ai wouldnt build them in bulk and move them around like crazy i.e. e-wings 10000 pop value, however the ai doesnt seem to be restricted to value at all as I see the effects of certain values shared on the empire side. so im not sure ow else I could keep from lagging out near week 100
