Now, I don't expect to have to beat about the bush about how much godmodding sucks, or how I expect at least the rudiments of English grammar to be upheld. You should know enough about me and my foibles by now to know that's the case.

I would ask though that all posts be in the third-person (i.e., in the style of an author), and be written in the style of a continuing story, rather than simple one-line responses.

As much as this is going to be a freeform RP with scripted elements, I'm hoping to see how the setting fits for a collaborative story.

I don't really need to go into rules of RP etiquette or netiquette, or I hope I don't. There's no problem with swearing as far as I'm concerned (I'd be more irked by a break from character to do it, but hey). I would ask any NSFW stuff be marked a such though I don't anticipate it from you guys.

Yes, you can have as many characters as you want, provided you keep all your characters who are 'in play' in play. For example, if you've got two threads running with two different people (or are playing two different characters in the same plotline), it's only courteous that you keep them updated as much as is relevant. I won't set strict rules as circumstances tend to affect how it works out. I'll be monitoring on a case-by-case basis, though so I'll pick up slack characters for the sake of other players' not being unduly held up.

The above doesn't mean I'm going to be all fascist about inactivity. That'd be hypocritical considering how little of my own time I have available (I work 60+ hour weeks and spend long times away from the computer and even longer times away from the forum). If you're going to apply, though, please at least endeavour to post regularly. I really don't want to have to pick characters up for the sake of other players.

Your character isn't all-powerful. Don't pretend they are, even if they're an exceptionally powerful mage. Cold steel brings even the greatest warlock down just like any other man. Hot lead likewise.

If in doubt, ask. I'm not perfect - Vortigern's already pulled my 'verse apart once by noting things I hadn't thought of or even bothered to think of. If you want to know whether something'd work or would ever happen in-'verse, just ask and we can work it through. I'll reject a badly-built application, but I won't reject an app on a whim purely because it doesn't fit - we'll work out what works between us. :)
