I accidentally clicked on the wrong bookmark and thus found myself on this forum after what's been several years. So I figured why not say hi to everyone (or whoever is still around here) and see how things are. For those who don't know me, I'm Athena (previous name: blaat). I used to visit these forums a lot back in the day and have been one of the leaders of this place. I have fond memories of Revora and quite enjoyed my time here. I used to have a lot of friends here. Currently I'm doing my master thesis in Chemistry and I'm living a good, happy life. So how are you all?

Well, hey! That's a surprise. Two oldies coming back in one day!
As you can see, we're still around. I consider that an accomplishment in itself
It has become a bit quieter than it used to be when you left, but people are still happily modding and developing.
I'm glad to hear you're doing okay. I take it you'll be finished very soon with your master's degree then? Any job plans yet?
As for myself, I'm still here. I also still happen to be a leader of this place. Oh the joy
However, you'll also find many others of old times still hanging around like Banshee and Hostile or Tom and Ash who lurk and post from time to time.

Glad to hear people are still working on their projects and that this place is doing well (albeit quieter).
My master's degree will be I think another year because I'm doing it part time. For a job I'd like to do something with chemistry and computers (simulations, preferably related to nanotechnology though that's by no means a must). Alternatively I would like to work with a scientific magazine, though I think the chances of that happening are pretty low. I'll probably work with a company since promotion at university isn't really my sort of thing (so far I find doing research is actually pretty difficult).

Yeah, Revora still lives in its own ways. Good luck with that masters degree, I never had chemistry beyond extremely basic things - but if you understand it, like working with it, and have a education that gets you a good job/salary you've chosen wisely. Just be careful about that transition from student to employee, can be tricky.

I almost cried reading throught this topic.
It's really nice to see that Revora stands even if the time never stops, I guess it's somesorta of internet magic? No. It's the will of individuals that keep the ball rolling.

I had a idea once for doing a Europe/US tour with a camera and interview Revorians and film what they are doing in their day-to-day lives, combined with a bit of a road-trip style thingie with information about the different places they live in.
