Took my son to go see it over the weekend which may have been overkill as he is only about 6. The thing is I got the Blu Ray set edition of Star Wars and we've watched all 6b movies in the past month and I think it was Jsr-Jar overkill with me. Some scenes looked pretty good in 3D while others you could take the glasses off and it looked the same as 2D. I think unless a movie is made purely in 3D it doesn't have the same WOW factor that something like an Avatar did, just my $.02. Either way I fully plan on going to all of the movies in 3d.

i hear you about the 3d wow factor. honestly, this makes me want to see it even less. maybe with AotC theyll have better results, what with the battle of Geonosis and the preceding fight in the asteroid field between fett and obi-wan looking cooler by default.

There are some really good movies in 3D. Generally ones that use it to accentuate the movie rather than go, "Hey look! We're doing 3D!" Tron Legacy was amazing in 3D blu-ray. Tangled was good too, though my eyes couldn't quite work out the lantern scene.

<DevXen> Today I was at the store and saw a Darth Vader action figure that said "Choking Hazard." It was great.

i dont bother with family films. too mushy for my tastes. but i agree with your point. personally, id like to see Ghost in the Shell or Appleseed remade in full on 3D, as opposed to CGI (ok, id like to see that too, in the case of GitS, as Appleseed has 2 cgi entries). as you might be able to tell, ive got a thing for girls with guns, lol
