I usualy build imperial fleets around high level tectors and ISDs with many dreadnaughts as heavy support for important battles and victories and acclamators for fast attack (strike crusiers when availible) and defence duties, my fleets are supported with venators and lancers as well

For rebels I like the recusant and the big mon cals. The recusant is nice at sniping ships which tends to make them come into attack range of other ships which can reduce the damage taken a fair bit although the recusant is a bit vulnerable to other cap ships.

I went back a save and just auto resolved space battles. But by doing this I take a lot more losses than I would otherwise. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to stop it?

make an account and start a bug discussion or tell your complaint on another bug discussion already up that alot of people are talking on of recent-I ran into a problem. I'm a little over 2 years into the Galaxy Far away Campaign. I Finally got to Kessell as the empire. During that battle I realized that when I clicked on some of my ships, nothing would happen- I can't control them. After that battle all of my new constuctions have that problem too. They can't move off the system.

question for everyone what class do u see as the best "anti aircraft" ship, a.k.a which ship can kill the most bombers and fighters or defend your capitals from those bombers/fighters-currently i like the dreadnought heavy cruiser and the Venator since the Venator can fight fire with fire by dishing out a ton of its own fighters and bombers-although why it has soooo many transports compared to bombers and fighters is beyond me...

Empire / GFFA is much harder because the rebel ai is very aggressive.

Hero wise I really like vader for ground combat as hes a total monster. Mara jade isnt too shabby and the guy whos name escapes me but comes with a fully upgraded AT-AT is really nice. One AT-AT + a human type hero to capture ground pads is a really nice combo.
Space wise I think that the praetors need a substantial cost reduction as they are totally not worth it atm whereas I think skiprays need a cost and especially a build time increase. The build time alone on a praetor prevents spamming them but I see no reason to cost more than say 3 isd. Got the vader upgrade to praetor although I did notice this really slows him down on the galactic map but with his bonuses he can pretty much solo a fairly large battle however the time taken to upgrade him and cost meant I could of just build a fleet of tectors or a horde of skiprays.
Wouldnt mind seeing just how crazy the executor is now, sounds like its a fleet unto itself but the 700k cost makes it somewhat prohibitive unless playing on one of the largest galaxies I guess.
I do like the way you can upgrade some of the space heroes but it would be nice if the previous version hinted at what they wanted in order to upgrade. On that point I really like the new ground unit upgrade text which says what the new unit will be in detail.
One thing I learned during a rebel campaign was never auto resolve with basic hero unit in space battles. My princess leia with an isd lost to a ship which wouldnt even have the power to drop the shields on the isd if it ignored it, and had run away from the previous battle which I had not auto-resolved.

I found on the Outer Rim campaign that I could sneak Obi-Wan from Felucia to Rudrig with minimal fuss and thus get not just faster research but cheaper research thanks to The Negotiator's diplomacy ranking
I am definately going to try this out sometime today
Just started with an GFFA Campaign as the Empire. I built a Capital Research Facility at Bilbringi (Word to the wise: Gyndine already has a Capital Research Facility when you start, but I wouldn't use it on the get go, because of it's close proximity to Kashyyyk.) and started researching the Imperial-class and Victory-class SD's. I used Gyndine's facility to upgrade Pellaeon to having the Leveler and upgraded the Venator-class. I recruited Mara Jade on Coruscant, and Kam Solusar and Sedriss on Byss, and upgraded Darth Vader to have Black Squadron. I'm using the Research Facility at the Maw to upgrade and research my mid-size cruisers, which is currently working on researching the Nebulon-B, which I probably won't use too much, as I'm only using it to get to the Lancer Frigate. I recruited Thrawn on Yaga Minor, and currently I'm trying to figure out what planet to attack, and I'm anxious to use Bly in combat So, if anyone (dev's specifically) has any advice on which planet would be not too challenging to take and would give me a good bonus, it would be appreciated.
