Venator-land units

Then im really only asking about adding 1 land unit-i was wondering about the AT-TE of which i think would be awesome to have in the game-also i think even if you dont make it "buildable" that you could possible make it like the LAAT, or the Republic/Empire Gunship of which you can't build, but can start out with them-the AT-TE was a great support vehicle that could take out the shields of another land unit-had i think 16 laser on it 8 in front 8 in back- and one main turrent that i think could shoot both an ion shell thing and an normal HE round? thank you for anwearing my questions-ihope

if you have any sense you can see that i am saying add land units to the game, not to the venator-some people no brains o.0 add an entirely new unit-the AT-TE to the mod-people these days

i was wondering if you know or if you could find out how many fighters/bombers and transports the Venators actually carried into battle during the clone wars
In-game amounts are, as far as I know, accurate to canon.
Bearing in mind that each Venator carried 24 heavy walkers and 2,000 troops*, they would need quite a few transports to ferry all that stuff. Also, bear in mind that the Venator was used originally as a dedicated carrier (with the Acclamator being the ground assault ship). When the Acclamator was phased out, the Venator took on the additional role of carrying ground forces while retaining its carrier aspect.

Wrong time period. We're concetrating on the Galactic Civil War, not the Clone Wars.
If you want to use the AT-TE, you'll need z3r0x's Republic at War mod (or learn to add it yourself, the model will be available somewhere).

plus i am not saying make it available to build, but make it avaiable in the mod-like the gunships or the bi pod walking units in the beginning of galaxy far, far away, people these days again lol--
i will add this so people dont go accusing me of mocking people, i am litterally asking Daveashton if he has played galaxy far, far away-thaat map in the mod has avaiable clone wars era ships-and is meant during the beginning era of the war, hence why there would be left over clone wars era ground units and ships

No, I didn't play it, it's not like I was a beta tester or anything, and had been looking at all the campaigns (and the manuals, new interface layout, cut content etc) since the middle of April last year...i am litterally asking Daveashton if he has played galaxy far, far away-thaat map

In the case of the Venator, the RotS Cross Sections book has the complement listed with "misc. shuttles" which could count for anything. There are 40 LAAT/i per Venator, though, which would almost certainly be replaced with modern stormtrooper transports and space combat craft by the Empire.

also towards bob-so you are getting the majority of the imperial transports in the venator from the LAAT? or replacing those "slots" that the LAAT would have been at for the Transprots you see in the mod? if so that makes ALOT more sense

@daveashton- i wasnt a tester either and jsut learned about the earlier version of the mod, 1.1, a few weeks ago lol-this mod has taken my social life for the last few days- once spring break comes i should get it back though- i hope

just thought of this - have the developers of the mod ever looked towards adding in the future of taking of enemy ships? since it was early in the stages meant to be in the original game could there still be a way to "re-open" that possibilty? -

Um... I was being sarcastic.
It was certainly possible code-wise with a mod to the vanilla AI (there was a Page's Commandos mod released that did just that, I never got it working to its full potential though). Yeah, but that's essentially a one way deal, how would you intend to insert the "fighting" element in the equation?

Could it be possible to make it so the transports attack the hardpoints? I know they're not targetable but they are still there right. That would simulate sabotage if not a proper fight for control of the ship. Which would actually be more realistic considering the odds against the attackers, I mean, let's face it, the boarders would be at a severe disadvantage against anything bigger than a corvette... Of course multiple transports could even the odds but, then again, most boarding actions are raids not seize and control operations.
