So I took a little visit to a quaint town today called New Harmony in Southern Indiana. So apparently it's a very early colonial town founded by Robert Owen in the early 19th century for some crazy people wanting a perfect Utopian society. Why the heck am I even mentioning this? Because it is absolutely amazing. Like... punch myself in the face for not having a camera amazing. I was just walking through the town thinking to myself, "I bet those social numb-skulls at Revora would appreciate this place". It really was inspiring. You can take a glimpse at the wiki page on it, or bare with me for a little virtual tour, guided by yours truly.
Here's the first place I stopped by. The museum. It's got one thing in it.... not much of a display inside. But the exterior looks like something out of Appature Science. This was built in the mid 20th century... it's gorgeous and futuristic. And apparently, according to the very articulate old lady who led me around, was world famous before it was even built.
The roofless chapel? Are you kidding me? Coolest church I have ever been to. It's just a walled in field with a giant weird... something in the center. That weird something is probably the coolest thing I have ever seen. It was designed like a rose with some sort of alter in the center that features faceless deities contorted and mangled together. For a church, it has some pretty brutal / epic art. It also has a balcony with an epic view... killer stuff.
I walked the Labyrinth today... it was supposed to enlighten me, but it failed to do so. But it's huge and awesome looking with some interesting history, so I feel privileged I guess.
There's so much to show about the town that I saw... it's like one big art display. The architecture and ideas founding it are super cool and I recommend it if you're remotely close by. But I also have to mention that I went to an art gallery in town... modern art. The main thing on display were pieces of a burnt down barn. ... Art, apparently. But that was my day... far too interesting not to share,

Neat.
That art gallery actually looks like how I pictured the above ground exterior of aperture

Har. Yea, for such an old building it's interesting to see it so... post-modern.

I'm a Revora social numb-skull and I approve of this message.
mid 20th, so around 1950? Not that revolutionary for its time, but still nicer than many other buildings in the world.
also, roofless? looks like that's all it got. But the art sounds like the Vigeland park to me, which is always fun.

No, the church is everything in the walled area. That rose thing is a shrine in the church. It reminds me of a Elder Scrolls game shrine...like you receive your blessing from it and everything. It's actually a pretty large area.
Here's another view of the gallery. It does look pretty unique in the open field with a row of log cabins and a cool river far across from it.
