Surprise! It's a post in a dead RP forum by the elusive Rafv, probably to be seen by nobody because none of us are here anymore!
So I was struck recently with the idea of resurrecting an RP from a gajillion years ago called "The Loft" (does anybody remember who ran it? I don't). The general gist was that the characters all ran or were residents at an inn called The Loft in that stereotypical, overdone fantasy setting. It was relatively laid back. We weren't running around the world slaying evil demons but rather casually playing our characters together.
I think it may be easier for us all to manage an RP if we don't have the juggernaut of playing into some grand, overarching plotline hovering over our heads. The other good thing about it was that it wasn't absolutely essential for the GM to posting constantly, moving the story along, because players could construct their own small intrigues.
Anybody for it?
Oh, hey, didn't notice you there
