Well, being a designer (amateur) and studying Education means that I put a lot of creativity into assignments that let me.
For example, the website in my other topic in Art & Design.
But more specifically to 2D graphics.
Both of these are A2 Poster Laminated. Actually the second poster about lightning is still to be proofed before I commit it to a high quality printing press on Wednesday.

Have you, as a designer and artist, made any educational materials? I am interested.

Looks very nice! About proofing: shouldn't it say lightning instead of lighting everywhere in the second poster (top blue box, grey box)? :p

Pretty good. The saturation and lightness of the background colors in the first road image makes them "pop out" more than the main black road and symbols, stealing a lot of attention and making your eyes fight with what to focus on(also, when you'd print those colors on paper you'd never be able to recreate them because ink doesn't work like light, subtractive/additive colors and all that). But the graphic symbols themselves are good. I'd de-saturate and try to lower the intensity of the background there to get the focus back onto the road.

On the second one, increase the font size so it gets easier to read the text, especially the one under the 8km on the lightning bolt. Can't see whats going on there.

On the question of educational materials, yeah, I make pedagogical stuff for my sister's firm at times, doing mostly programming and generic design stuff that gets polished by their in-house artists.

It's similar to the stuff I made for people I taught graphic design. It's just simple shapes and flat colors, but what most people don't realize is that all pictures are just a stack of shapes and flat, unshaded colors.

And I believe you because you have worked on Minecraft, where every pixel/voxel is important.

I've got a large poster to make for class. Here is a sample.

The mother fox is traced from this image. http://commons.wikim...le:Fox_Head.jpg

The fox pup: http://pets.answers....c-foxes-as-pets

The text says: "Hope, I live with joy because my future is certain." It is from the Adventist Schools Values.

Font used is OpenDyslexicAlta.

This reminds me of Reddit's advertising boxes. Out of interest, what does this one achieve?

There's so Many Values Inside of Me

An image of the full poster. In real life they were printed out, cut out, laminated and then cut out again. The wall they were glue-tacked onto is the same blue (Because I am such a diligent student at college I got one of the best spots).

I got the design idea to make the shape of a girl out of animals while I was sketching various statues I wanted to make for Rivendell.

veDpg8Ol.jpg

Maybe coming soon is a picture book I created. I submitted it for a competition so I cannot post it here until the council has looked at it. And then I need to confirm if I can make it public and free to download.

I didn't think we promoted bestiality here.

Honestly, not seeing the girl in this picture much, but the diagrams are well executed.

Oh, yeah. On that note, I get the eagle for justice (which is actually a hawk, but we're from America), and the dog slightly for responsibility. But why are frogs associated with respect, or foxes with compassion? I'm genuinely interested as to... why. I mean, everyone knows each of these definitions, bar maybe the God-side of it, so why on earth do these need to be? What is the purpose of this?
